Fat Daddio's Black Fondant, Vanilla, 5 lb

Terrific Fondant! I have tried many different packaged fondants (Wilton, Satin Ice, Duff's from Ace of Cakes) and this is by far the best tasting and easiest to work with! Knead to soften and it rolls out nice and thin and stretches smoothly over cakes without tearing! I can stretch this tub to make several tiered cakes because it rolls so great. I love using the white and coloring as needed.

As newbie to the world of fondant and can't say enough about Fat Daddio's. It was excellent! Not only does it roll out easily, but it tastes great! I had also purchased another brand famous brand, which was awful. I am sold! Fat Daddio's has my future business.

This stuff was easy to use, bright in color and perfect. I was actually surprised when it came, I expected it to be dry but it was not. Sealed in an air tight blue bag. Definitely worth the money.

Okay - to be fair - this is WAAAAAAAAY better than normal fondant. However, it's not as good as *cough*Fonderific*cough*. I had to use fondant for a Darth Vader birthday cake. This is okay - and if I had not tried the other - I would have thought of it as great. I used this on my practice cake and it worked great!! I have read reviews that homemade is best - and bless those reviewers' hearts - I am sure that is true. However, I did not have the time or patience to fiddle-foodle around - I needed it to taste good, be fast, easy to work with and look good. This fits that bill.

Very happy with Fat Daddio's brown rolled fondant icing. It is more milk chocolate colored than dark chocolate colored (the only thing I would change is to have it a darker color). Used it for daughter's wedding cake.

This is the best premade fondant on the planet! Taste is wonderful, texture super on its own or you can mix it with homemade marshmallow fondant to stretch the amount. Take colore wonderfully.

I have purchased this product many times before from here and usually it is perfect. It is usually very soft and easy to work with and is the best tasting fondant I have worked with, but this time I received the tub of fondant and the inner bag was not properly sealed like it usually is. Because if this, the fondant is super hard and even after a lot of kneading it is still not as flexible and malleable as it usually is. The one star review is because it won’t let me return the item or exchange it.

This was really great to use... I had no tearing or alligator skin. I did find a few ting lumps of hard fondant but nothing that made a huge difference. My Holloween Decorating Event was a great success. Thank goodness I didn't have to make all that black fondant.
