Final Fantasy X X-2 HD Remaster Standard Edition Playstation 4

This is an improved version of the original PS2 game. The game runs at 1080p, 16:9 widescreen and looks terrific. The face models of the main characters have been redone to look more like how the characters appear in CG cut-scenes and a lot of the textures, though not all, were upgraded to be less blurry and more detailed. Loading time is vastly improved from the original which makes battles fast and fun instead of a chore. The real treat here is an optional remastered soundtrack which is just phenomenal. You can always listen to the original music, but the remastered one is so incredibly well done and it really enhances the experience. The only feature missing is that the PS Vita port used the touch screen for an auto-heal function, but that is lacking here. It's hard to imagine why as that was a useful function to have. But not a big deal in the end. If you've never played the game then this is the definitive version. If you have the PS2 game it is worth it to re-experience this upgraded port. Even if you have a Vita, there's a lot of detail that's hard to miss on the small screen that really pops out on a big TV.

What a fantastic way to revisit an old PS2 Classic! I still remember borrowing FFX from a friend back in elementary school and playing it for the first time. It was only my second time playing a Final Fantasy game, with most of my prior knowledge of Square Enix titles coming from the Kingdom Hearts series (KHI and II are some of my all-time favorite games). FFX/X-2 HD is fantastic because it lets you experience the world of Spira again in wonderful HD. The game looks dated, but its charms are timeless. The game is still beautiful and its the addictive gameplay we all have come to know and love. If you've never played FFX before, now is the perfect time to jump in. Pros: + Allows you to choose between the Classic and Remastered soundtrack (you can swap anytime!) + Expert sphere grid from the international version is an option -- also there are multiple optional bosses added + Wonderful compilation of all things FFX + Bugs from release have been fixed (music and RNG bugs) Cons: - Some of the remastering is off. The faces during certain conversations aren't as 'remastered' as others.

If you're a fan of Final Fantasy or JRPG's in general, you're doing yourself a disservice by not playing this game. In my opinion, FFX is one of the best games out there; not only does it have a memorable cast of characters and a gripping plot, but the world of Spira is probably one of the most fleshed-out settings that I've ever experienced, filled to the brim with its own lore and carefully crafted details. FFX-2, while it certainly has its quirks, has one of the coolest and most complete battle systems out of all of the Final Fantasies. To put it simply, you're getting two great games for a reasonable price, complete with updated graphics and a remastered soundtrack. The bugs that people mentioned in earlier reviews have been nullified with a recent patch, easily making the PS4 remaster the definitive version of FFX & FFX-2.

I enjoyed the game back in the PS2 era, and so when I felt nostalgic, I decided to go ahead and get this for the PS4 to remember how good the game could be. I had never played X-2 either, so I felt, eh, why not, right? I know that it is an HD remaster, but it is still very surprising just how beautiful the game looks. The shift in graphics was very noticeable (even borrowed a copy if FFX on the PS2 to compare), and though you can tell a lot of the models were made for the PS2 engine (particularly the face models of the non-main characters), everything from character models to the absolutely stunning backgrounds are gorgeous. The game feels quicker too, possibly thanks to better coding, or possibly just the engine of the PS4. And I have yet to even touch X-2 at the time of this review! I felt I should give a review of the stuff I had already played at the least. But oh, there is more to the game than the classic stuff. Included in the FFX game at the least are the international goodies. An updated Sphere Grid, the ever-popular Expert Sphere Grid, and the Superbosses! If you have never gotten to play the International version, let's just say being strong enough to beat the final bosses is the first baby step towards being strong enough to last a single turn against the Dark Aeons, much less Penance himself/herself/itself(?). Lots more to look forward to. Just hope you know some tricks for grinding! For anyone who was not much for Final Fantasy X (or any Final Fantasy, for that matter), this game is obviously not for you. But for fans and newcomers, this game really is worth the purchase.

FFX is my all-time favorite game. I have it and FFX-2 on all platforms. I love how you can chooses the original soundtrack as I was not a fan of the remix. I have yet to get all the trophies, but this game is and will remain my favorite. I love the game play and the story. I have literally logged thousands of hours on this game. I played it through numerous times on the PS2 and once on the PS3. Working slowly on the PS4 (playing in between newer games) I have gotten all the celestial weapons, all the aeons, and filled the sphere grid every time I have played through. When I am bored and don't know what to play I'll throw this on andnpkay itnfor weeks at a time. Newer gamers might find turn based games a little boring, but its just right for me. Only downside was I didn't get the booklet in my new unused game......

I love the Final Fantasy series and it is one RPG I play. Having a digital master copy makes me happy knowing that I have my favorite childhood game with me.

Si eres fan de la saga FF seguramente ya lo tengas en alguna versión, sin embargo, Esta sería el complemento Perfecto para jugar con el PS Vita y el Cross Save. Esta versión puedes jugarla sin problemas en PS4 o PS5!

Final Fantasy 10 is my favourite Final Fantasy game. The story is amazing and the characters are memorable, I have a few copies of Final Fantasy 10 on the PS2, plus I have the HD version on the PS3. Bought the PS4 HD version, because I felt I needed to play it after being to the visuals have all been updated for the PS4. I would recommend it to any Final Fantasy fan.

ps2の方をクリアして以来です。 あの頃からストーリーが素敵で大好きでしたが、英語版もまた感動して涙する場面がいくつもありました。 10年以上たった今は英語版の方がより感動するのかも。 台詞がカッコよくきこえますし。 画像もとても綺麗になり、サクサクすすめたい気になります。 リマスター版出してくれてありがとうございました。感動を再びという感じです。
