Amps don't have that type of connector. The XLR version could work but you would have to put an inline phantom power adapter between the mic and the amp. **Q: Will it work with an akg mini 40 transmitter??** A: This one, no. This has a full-size XLR connection. You'll need the one with the mini-XLR instead. And even then, the transmitter will need to be capable of phantom power as these are condenser mics. **Q: Can I plug this mic into my mixer and if so should I turn on the phatom power on the mixer?** A: Yes you can plug it into your mixer, and yes it requires 48v Phantom Power to operate, so you should turn that on. Cardioid microphones have a narrow field of sensitivity and while it will work in general, the center part of the harmonica may get louder than the left and right.
