**Q: Dome with 4cm central hole**
A: The size of the central hole can be varied by using the different fittings on the central screw assembly

**Q: I can't work out how to put this together**
A: unscrew the green piece on top of the bowl  push pole through and tighten the green screw

**Q: will it protect bird seed from getting wet in the rain?**
A: Yes, it will helpp protect the feeder from the rain somewhat, acting as an "umbrella".  You just hang this up by the external hook, with the bird feeder dangling inside from the second hook.  The dome and the feeder need to swing clear away and not touch any surface.  The two hooks can clearly be seen in the main photo.  Some folks put them UNDERNEATH the feeders, to stop squirrels climbing up the pole that is holding the feeders.  I use mine ABOVE the feeders. Hope this helps.

**Q: Would this fit on to the square pole of a bird table**
A: No. It needs to hang from a hook of some kind and with nothing around it that a squirrel can climb up to get at the bird food hanging underneath the dome.

Bought to replace a similar baffle that we've had for a number of years, but that did not survive the recent storms.Easy to fit on our bird feeding station and does exactly what it says and baffles those pesky squirrels!

If you use it to hang a feeder from it does mean it will be a lot nearer the ground, so you need a tall support to hang it from.
