good product, strong, perfect.

Works great. Can use some soft materials to dampen chatter from metal to metal contact.
The gate catch worked out great for us. We had a customs sliding gate made for our house and this for the 2x6 metal perfect. The only other thing I can think of it to add some felt or rubber bushing inside to lessen the noise when the wing blows the gates and it rattles a bit in the catch.

It has no mounting. Requires drilling or welding.
Although it has no mounting, just had to drill it to install, it was a perfect fit for my project.

Irritated it’s not painted with a base coat.
Didn’t come painted. Will corrode over time, not a fan of that. Shape is good.

Looks good.
Part looks good, and not rusty, hopefully its not galvanized as that would make a toxic gas when welded. Just to be sure, I will dunk it in muratic acid to strip any coating before welding.

Well made, smooth edges with rounded corners. The pic does not show it but the mounting side is solid and can be welded or bolted into place.
