Stand for Hive Thermostat v2 with Mounting Screws - Medium White - 3 Years Warranty - Made in UK

Simple, effective and relatively cheap solution to standing a Hive thermostat, rather than having them wall-mounted. I baulked at the price of the official Hive stand and am delighted that I plumped for this product. Easy to assemble and attach to the thermostat, it does the job really well and looks the part too.

For the price, totally adequate and strong enough to support a Hive thermostat. Easy to assemble, angled stand upright to base, using the countersunk screws provided. Remove backplate from thermostat and use the two other screws to fix that to the stand. Then refit the stat to the backplate. Ensure the release tab is to the bottom when securing the backplate. Seems stable enough and strong enough. Compared to the "official" stand this is a bargain and does the job.

Brilliant, does the job well, didn't expect to take the thermostat base off the wall to use it.

Who would make something that has a tab sticking out of the bottom so it won't stand up without a base! Seems like bad design to me, or is it just a reason to sell you an overpriced base so it stands up! However, thankfully this alternative works well and although it's also overpriced for what it is, it does the job and is a lot cheaper than the Hive one. No instructions, but it was fairly obvious how the stand fitted together. I did check which screws went into which holes, not totally clear, but the countersunk ones (the longer narrow ones) join the base together and the short fatter ones screw into the insdide of the Thermostat back cover, which you have to remove by pulling on the tab. In summary, it does the job and if you want to hang the Thermostat on the wall instead, just remove the back and unscrew it from the stand. I can't see too many people changing their minds, you either want it on the wall or on a stand.

bought this at Christmas didn't get a chance to install until after December thought it was going to be difficult but with just a limited knowledge of electrics I managed very well took me about 1hour to fit but it going good its very good easy to use and very handy when away from home no more cold house to return to very happy

Much cheaper than the rip off price charged for the equivalent by Hive. East to fit, works well

I have mine working now but came with a faulty Hub. It seems to work ok, pity you can not see the temperature settings unless up press the button, and then only for 5 seconds, It's a pity because the readout is very good.

Very expensive for a couple of small pieces of plastic which has to be assembled at home with 2 screws and attached with 2 more screws of a different size. No instructions so guess which screws go where. I could not tighten one screw due to hard plastic and lack of strength in hands, but it performs the purpose. Fortunately I got the postage free as it came with another order, but cannot see how it can be worth the standard postage cost of over £4.
