So on my personal 2002 Ford explorer 4.6 I have had a lot of issues with coil packs. My fault because I can not afford (nor do I want to buy) a set of $450 Motorcraft coil packs on a truck not worth more than $2k and I plan to sell soon. With that said I have gone through more than 2 sets of coil packs (18 coils) in less than one year. Problem is they are all chinese coils just like these. BUT after installing these I did notice a much stronger and smoother running engine. I do believe the engine has a bit more power which improved my transmissions shifting and engines gas mileage by about 20-30 miles per tank. Also idles much smoother than ever. I am happy with the switch and will report back if any start to fail with in the next 12 months.

I highly suspect these are your regular run-of-the-mill ignition coils with no fancy performance benefit, just with a yellow case made to mimic the much more expensive Accel ignition coils that they sell for Ford's modular V8 engines. My best friend saw these and got excited for a quick minute, then started busting out laughing when he took a closer look. 😂 If these offer additional performance benefit, I can't really tell. But you might be able to lie to some of your friends who don't know any better, and say you did mods to your engine. I don't know. But in the case of my 2004 Mercury Grand Marquis, I bought these when I had a misfire surface. What happened is I actually had a spark plug explode inside one of my cylinders, and, while it didn't [somehow] damage the combustion chamber at all, it did fry the ignition coil on that cylinder. On top of that, the boots like to stick and not come out easily. So, here to the rescue came these coils, at a steal for around $40-$45 for a set of 8, with Prime shipping. I've put 20k miles on these since I put them on, and haven't had any issues out of them. It's still not a racecar, but I guess it kinda looks the part now. Lol it really complements my Spectre washable panel air filter and my exhaust leak at the muffler. 4 stars because I did not experience 30% more hurspurrs.

Coil packs work great fit well and had no issues with delivery and my numbers are great on my obd reader

Installed them and car cranked up fine then started misfiring on multiple cylinders. Pulled them out put old ones back in and ran fine. 5 out of the 8 were bad.

Already going to pot. Got 2 years ago
