Zippo Armor Deep Carve Lighters

I got the Antique Copper World Map design Zippo, and before I say anything else... I'd like to say the pictures don't do this finely crafted item justice. The beautiful image engraved into the antique copper finish evokes images in my mind of a world gone by... a world of explorers on ships, perhaps an academic studying over some maps in a University a couple hundred years ago by candlelight, or perhaps a captain of a pirate ship from hundreds of years in the past. This lighter would not look out of place in any of these settings, and it awakens the human imagination in those who would appreciate the sort of finely crafted item that might match these settings. The aesthetic appeal of this beautiful lighter is further enhanced by lighting it and enjoying the sight of the lights of that soft yellow flame dancing across the engraved copper surface. I would suggest that this might be an appealing gift for the following types of people: *People in the military *Social studies teachers *Sailors *People who appreciate old-world designs, antiques, things of that nature *People with class Regarding the characteristics of the lighter itself -- it's a Zippo, so of course the quality is top notch, as expected. Makes a satisfying "click" noise when closed. I have kept it at my desk and found I periodically reach for it and flip it open and closed now and then or light it just for the enjoyment of playing with it. I was also delighted to hear it's still made in the USA. Works great with Zippo's butane inserts for those who aren't using it for smoking and want the fuel to last a long time without evaporation. I personally have used and enjoyed it with Zippo's butane double-torch insert.

I'm not a smoker of any sort of tobacco. I'm not a Zippo collector. But I have developed a sort of respect for the artistic aspects of this inexpensive little cultural icon as I shopped for a fire making tool. This deep carved Armor "Regal" model really is beautiful. It looks like something 80 years old from a time gone by. It even feels very nice in the hand. Aside from the looks, I wanted something reliable to start my backpacking stove or a campfire when I'm hiking. What's more reliable than a Zippo? Because I'm on the trail for a week at a time, I also bought a dual torch butane insert to convert this lighter to a fuel that doesn't evaporate and wont leak on my other gear. I figure this may sit in my backpack for a month or two. With the butane, I won't have to worry about fuel disappearing on me. Also, the butane insert shoots a steadier flame a little further which is handy for starting my liquid fuel stove without toasting my hand. I'll play with the Zippo insert and the butane insert to see which one is the better solution for the outdoors. I have to admit, the oil insert makes a much more aesthetically pleasing and more natural looking flame.

Beautiful lighter....but...I can't get the insert out to fill it. I'm tearing up my fingers trying to do this. Not what I expected. Emailed zippo. Their offices are closed due to covid-19, but somebody is supposed to contact me. I really love the lighter, I just hope I can actually USE it. I've waited 11 days to receive this order, with the zippo lighter fluid, and so far, I have a pretty lighter I can't use and the lighter fluid will take another week to arrive. The insert is very stuck in my lighter. If anybody knows what to do about it, please let me know. I sure don't want to return it and would appreciate any assistance. It really is a cool zippo, to look at. But that's not what I paid $90.00 for. I'm tearing up my fingers trying to remove the insert. If you can help, please do. Thanks very much!

Absolutely beautiful craftsmanship. No pictures will do this lighter true justice. I’ve wanted this zippo for about a year. I finally went ahead and bought it a couple of months back. I also have the world Atlas 360 engraved zippo, hands-down these are my favorite zippos. They go up as supply gets lower, so if you’re thinking about getting it,do it. This beautiful zippo is worth every penny. It arrived when promised, and is a genuine, zippo product. It came as described, and in new condition. I have zero complaints about this lighter.

Well what can I say it's a Zippo that lights up every time it looks good I'm not going to lie but the hinge is really loose and does not look sturdy as the older models and you can tell their method of machinery is different they have to bevel corners they don't do flush anymore that kind of looks Goofy and cheap I'm just a collector so I'm not going to put this lighter through some serious abuse I only leave them home and look at them from time to time I will admit they don't make them like they used to and that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

The thickness is good, very nice look and works perfectly but I was somehow under the impression the design was on all 4 sides, it's not, it's only on the front, I wish I had known.

From the weight to the design to the execution of the design and the gorgeous finish I am over the moon. I took days picking out my first armor and was not disappointed you won't be either. Get it here because the prices are going up.

Un peu d’essence... et hop! Au quart de tour ! Un Zippo qui se démarque des autres, finitions impeccables. Les gravures sont propres et très précises, belle patine d’origine, un vernis de finition à été appliqué. Reste à voir dans le temps la patine naturelle qu'il prendra à l’usage.

Zippo armor lighter are one of my favorite lighter coz its rubust and heavy...this black ice tho will get scratches over time in regular use so also buy a pouch for it. over all its in excellent condition and well made.

It is not what I saw in the picture. But it's original. Just that it looks completely different in real. Not like this photo at all

Nachdem mir bei dem einen oder anderem Zippo mit aufgeleimter Metallplatte die Platten abgefallen sind, oder der Aufdruck sich verabschiedet hat, sollte es ein etwas gediegeneres Modell sein... Nach dem Auspacken war ich von der Optik absolut begeistert. Keine aufgeleimte gravierte Platte sondern direkt ins Metall tief eingraviert. Das venezianische Design wurde perfekt gelasert. Ein Blickfang! Das Feuerzeug ist komplett hochglanzverchromt. Die Gravuren befinden sich nur auf der Vorderseite. Alle anderen Seiten, bis auf die Unterseite mit dem bekannten Zippo Labeln, sind glatt. Dadurch hat es natürlich den Nachteil, dass wirklich die geringste Berührung Spuren hinterlässt. Insgesamt liegt es sehr rutschig in der Hand. Man ist automatisch darauf bedacht, das man aus Vorsicht, eine zweite Hand, insbesondere beim Schließen des Deckels hinzunimmt... Wer damit leben kann und wem die Optik gefällt, wird mit dem schönsten Zippo "Plink" belohnt, welches ich jemals bei einem Zippo gehört habe. Beim Öffnen kann ich einen richtigen Nachhall wahrnehmen... Von der Optik passt es sehr gut zu den Germanus Zigarettenetuis, wie man auf dem Foto sehen kann. Nachtrag: Mit einem weinenden Auge habe ich dieses wunderschöne Feuerzeug retourniert, nachdem es mir mehrmals beinahe heruntergefallen ist. Wer kleine Hände hat, wird wahrscheinlich keine Probleme mit dem "Grip" haben. Aber bei meinen Pranken fühlt es sich an wie "Obelix meets chinese food" - Statt griffiger Wildschweinkeule, Essen mit Stäbchen...

Cumple con lo descrito en el producto, funciona bien y el acabado es bueno, el único pero que para ser zippo la visagra de la tapa esta un poco olgada y no sella 100%
