Used on a cutting mat this is so easy and fast. Much more accurate than scissors. We were watching TV and she saw someone using a rotary cutter like this and expressed how much she wanted one but was worried about the price. I immediately jumped on Amazon and found this excellent cutter!It’s so reasonably priced, but don’t let that fool you – this cutter could compare with any of the more expensive brands. It’s very sharp, and it cuts beautifully on every fabric she’s tried so far. I imagine on some tougher materials you may need to add a bit more elbow grease to get it all the way through, but overall it is a fantastic piece of equipment. I've never had a rotary cutter before, so didn't want to spend a lot. It came quickly, very well packaged. I opened it cautiously and tried a few cuts. Brilliant! It's one of those tools I can't imagine doing without now, although I'll need a lot of practice before I can cut fiddly bits with it! It's brilliant for long straight cuts. The handle is soft and comfortable and there is a safety cover for the blade that you click on and off. This is one sharp, neat, well-made cutter. I have small hands and don't like clumsy tools, so I like this for sewing.I'd say the packaging is misleading. If another reviewer hadn't mentioned it I would have been expecting more in the packet.
