I Feel Sexy and Feminine Again!
I didn't even know what "chub rub" was until I joined a Plus Sized group when I was planning our honeymoon to Disney. But, I knew it not only made me miserable, but really embarrassed me. When my husband and I were first dating, I had to resort to wearing bike short style panties anytime I wore a skirt. Of course, I had to worry about those bike shorts showing under the skirt as lumps, below the hem of the skirt, or that they might ride up and defeat the purpose. They also made an extra layer of heat in the summertime. The alternative was just to make sure I didn't walk too much. Even worse, what if he put his hand on my thigh and felt that awkward lump under the skirt? I couldn't help but think of them as my "fat girl panties" or "fat girl scuba gear." I certainly did not feel like a beautiful woman or sexy or attractive. I felt embarrassed. I know that skinny girls wear them too for shaping, but I still felt awkward and unattractive. After I got married, I still had a preoccupation with it. My husband loved my body, but that thigh-chafing problem really embarrassed me, so I would dress out of eye-shot when I wore a skirt and I never wore shorts. Bandalettes have been a complete blessing. They look like lingerie and don't make you feel like you're wearing granny panties under your clothes. They look like something you wore deliberately to feel pretty and feminine. They don't look like something you're wearing "to keep your thighs from rubbing." They look just like an attractive addition to your garment - like an accessory. When I first pulled them out I worried about the fit. If you measure like they ask you to, you really have nothing to worry about. These are NOT tight, nor do they feel snug. They fit comfortably and stay up nicely. I tend to buy loose clothing (especially pants) and I have no complaints on how these fit. You can feel that they work as soon as you try them on. Where skin used to grip, it now just glides easily past. The lace is not scratchy and holds it's pattern well when put on. They are made in China, designed in the US. They are hand wash, but really that's pretty easy. The packaging is attractive and subtle, I'm including a picture. For sizing, definitely measure your thigh. Mine was smaller than the pant size recommendation and it fits perfectly! I can't say enough about this wonderful design and I'm going to order more colors today if they are available in my size. Thank you Bandalettes! I finally feel feminine and attractive again! Now I can wear more of the clothes I love.

Seriously these are the most amazing product ever made
Seriously these are the most amazing product ever made! Well that is a bit of a stretch but for anyone who had dealt with Chub Rub and chaffing I think you would agree with me. I will start by saying that I used to HATE dresses, and all occasions where I may have to wear one for that reason only. BUT after seeing a buzzfeed video reviewing these I knew I had to try them. I got out my trusty fabric measuring tape, made sure I measured the widest part of my thy and selected the right size. At first it took me a few minutes to get them positioned correctly, but once you do, and get used to them they are amazing! They don't roll or move! They aren't tight at all, but they aren't loose either. It's like they are just resting on my skin. There is no pain no itching, they just hang out and I can run around in a dress all day long and never have a problem. I have become a dress wearer! I actually have them on RIGHT NOW at work. I have worn these on hot, humid days, to weddings while doing tons of dancing, gotten sweaty and I have had no issues. My husband also threw them through the washer/dryer by accident and they are still as perfect as ever. (purchased the black, lace ones) I have had no issues with the lace pilling or pulling apart. I have appointed myself to be an honorary spokes person for these bad boys because I can't help but tell everyone how amazing they really are! Don't hesitate and buy! They are totally worth it, just make sure you measure correctly and get the right size!

Convenient solution for anti-chafing under dresses/skirts, but quality is questionable. Recommend smooth over lacy bands.
I bought both the unisex, smooth thigh bands as well as the lacy women's ones, with the intention of wearing them under dresses and skirts to reduce chafing. I definitely prefer the smooth thigh bands after several days of wearing both. The smooth thigh bands are slightly wider than the lacy ones and seem to stay in place a bit better, while the lacy ones also tend to start wearing themselves down against each other because of their texture. I also had an unfortunate incident while wearing the lacy ones, wherein I was hurrying to catch the train and the upper edge of the band folded down - I ended up getting severe raised chafe marks where the edges of the band had rubbed against my legs as I walked that took several days to heal. PROS: - Definitely reduce chafing, when they're not causing it themselves. - The smooth bands are barely notable when worn in the correct place and are super comfortable, as a result. - Not having to wear a pair of shorts with an additional waistband under my dress/skirt is AMAZING. CONS: - Figuring out where and how to place the thigh bands is more difficult than you'd think, as the swell of your butt causes the back upper edge of the band to fold over frequently, and your thighs are usually wider at top than at bottom, whereas the bands are symmetrical and the same width from top to bottom. - Though the fit is perfect to start, the elastic does start to stretch out slightly after some constant wearing. My smooth thigh bands have now started to slip down on one leg regularly. On the plus side I can wear a single smooth thigh band with nearly the same anti-chafing and comfort advantages, so I often do that. - The silicone bands on my smooth bands have started to detach from the fabric, thanks probably both to daily wearing, the motion of walking, and humidity/heat from my body. I'm hoping the bands remain wearable even if some of the silicone is lost... I do recommend the smooth bands as a nice, comfortable under skirt/dress option, but don't have a great deal of faith that they will last for very long. I might try buying down a size and seeing if they'll fit better as they stretch out.

FINALLY!!
Ladies, we all know the discomfort of "chub rub" in the hot and sticky days of summer. Since having a "thigh gap" is only a reality for perhaps 1% of women (totally estimating but it seems likely!) these things are a Godsend. I've worn Spanx like products for years to avoid the chaffing. But let's be honest, in summer especially it is too stinking hot to be wrapped in spandex from your navel to your knees. Add humidity into the equation and well, forget it. Just give me a pair of shorts and I'll pull my dresses and skirts back out in the fall, thank you very much. I debated these for at least two years before finally giving in and purchasing them, reasoning that I "already had something that worked". Well that was just silliness because these are freaking amazing! AH. MAZE. ING. I've worn more dresses this summer in the nastiest heat and had zero problems. They don't move. They don't shift. You don't have to pull them up because they don't roll down or slip. Using the restroom presents zero problem. All the airy comfort of my summer dresses without the compression of Spanx and all the chub rub coverage I need! Hallelujah!I have a pair of the slinky and the lacy and love them both. Though do be aware that the lacy will not lay totally smooth on your skin so if you are wearing something tight/stretchy it will "show", in which case the slinky is a better option and disappears under practically anything - they also don't create static the way the lacy one's can if the dress is particularly clingy. The lacy are better for things that are looser and flow off the body more. Two hints for how to wear them: 1. make sure the seam is either on the outside of your thigh or at least around the back so it isn't visible under clothes when you sit or if the item is snug, 2. Pull the Bandlette all the way up as high as you can wear it so that the inside sits in the crease of your leg, and the back is just under your "cheek", I find pulling it up just a tad higher on the outside of my thigh also helps keep it in place. I wore these all day wandering around Paris and London this summer in the ridiculous heat and they saved my legs and didn't budge at all. They are machine washable, I just throw them in my delicates bag with my bras and let them air dry. Whoever developed these is a saint!

OK, but not for every day use.
SIZING: My thigh measured exactly 26-1/2" so I purchased both a size C and a size D in the lacy beige color. Both fit, but as I walked it felt like the size D was slipping so I returned that one and kept the C. I would say these run true to size and if you're in between pick the smaller one. The GOOD: These are very easy to get off and on. I wore them around for about an hour and they stayed put, I never felt like I had to adjust them. After a couple of washings they still look brand new. The BAD: Can be visible depending on the material of the skirt or dress you're wearing. I really like the knit foldover skirts from Old Navy and and when I wore these with that item you could see the outline of the band. I also noticed that depending how you walk they make a "swishing" sound. I'm surprised other reviewers haven't mentioned this. If you're out for dinner and drinks I don't think it would be noticeable, but if you're in a quiet setting you may hear it. The OVERALL: These do exactly what they say they're going to do - prevent chaffing. However if I had to choose between this and a product like BodyGlide I would pick the glide because it's less noticeable all around. These are best used in a setting where you'll be walking around all day and need something to stay put and keep you comfortable.

Work pretty good, but falls apart right away
***********UPDATE: I am changing my review, because these completely fell to pieces after exactly three uses. The sticky inner elastic peeled right off the fabric, just from me wearing them. I really wanted these to work, but it seems they aren't built to last. ****************** I work in a hospital and have to wear scrubs for my job. My scrubs are very comfortable, but because of the way they're shaped, the crotch tends to hang down too far and the very top of my thighs tend to rub together. I have folliculitis so all the rubbing is causing me to get cysts all over my upper inner thigh. I've been looking for a solution for a while, first I tried bike shorts, then men's boxer briefs. I ran into the same problem, it was really uncomfortable to have so many layers on, and it got way too hot. Finally I found out about these bands and thought why not. I was very very very skeptical. I've tried thigh high stockings/socks before and they NEVER stay up. I really didn't see why this would be any different. So, these do actually work really well, and I've now used them for two 12 hour shifts without fail. The ONLY reason I got these to work, though, is because of a tip I saw on here which I greatly appreciated. Placement is everything. They only work if the inside of the band is up higher than the outside. The inside of the band needs to be up literally as high as it can go, like almost touching your underwear, or they will roll down. But if you have them just in the right spot, they are not going anywhere. I ran around this hospital, up and down hallways, squatting, bending, assisting patients, and they did not move. My other tip is that if you go to the bathroom, make sure you check your positioning after you pull your underwear back up, because that is the one thing that will mess with them. They work perfectly for my purposes, but I only gave them four stars because I'm really unsure as to how they would work if I were to wear them with a skirt. It seems like they aren't long enough, they don't go far enough down my inner thigh to completely eliminate all the areas my thighs rub together. The other thing is they aren't breathable AT ALL. I could feel myself sweating under the bands like crazy. Still, much less hot than wearing three layers.

My thighs are thankful!!
These were a lifesaver!! Never knew there was such a thing called thigh bands, wished I found this years ago! These saved me during my trip to Italy and I had no chafing whatsoever so ever. Used them under my dresses and they were seamless and fit perfectly. Very sturdy and durable. They pair well with looser outfits.

The best thing since sliced bread!!!
I am so impressed with this product! The first day I wore them for about 12 hours. They never budged, and my legs actually felt tighter when I took them off. I live in hot, humid, sticky Florida and was never uncomfortable even when I was walking outside. I did have one little surprise... I was wearing a knee length skirt, went to get into my car and the small amount of skin between the bandelettes and my underwear stuck to the leather seat as I was sliding in. That was an unpleasant sensation!! I will not be doing that again. Other than that, these are a godsend!! I love to wear skirts and dresses but always had to wear pettipants which can get very hot. Also they tend to roll up between my legs which can be extremely uncomfortable because then my thighs rub together and it is not very ladylike trying to unroll them if you are in public! After two days I purchased two more sets, black unisex and the chocolate. I had read some people said the lace ones were rough but so far I have not noticed any problem with the chocolate ones. The lace seems to be smoother on that color than on the others. One good thing I have noticed with the lace ones, there is no sound when they rub together like there is with the plain ones. Also my thighs don't rub enough that there is a lot of friction between the bandelettes, just enough to to get sweaty and irritating if you know what I mean!!
