Quickbuild Aircraft - Spitfire

This kit is perfect for anyone who wants the joy of building a model plane without needing tweezers, glue, and the patience of a saint. The pieces click together so satisfyingly that it feels more like high-end Lego for aviation fans than traditional model making — and honestly, that’s a compliment. The finished F-35B looks impressively detailed for a snap-fit kit, with proper shape, cool markings, and just enough complexity to feel like a real build without becoming a stress test. It’s great for kids, beginners, or adults who enjoy building things but also enjoy finishing them within the same day. No glue, no mess, no mysterious parts left over. Just solid, well-designed pieces that turn into a very respectable-looking jet fighter. Bonus points for being sturdy enough to survive light “test flights” around the living room. Fun, fast, and surprisingly satisfying. This kit proves that model building doesn’t have to be fiddly to be brilliant.

I really like this model. As a fairly experienced scale model builder, the quick builds aren't aimed at me so I bought a few out of curiosity (with my own money, they weren't sent to me for free). I like Airfix and Lego, and these fall somewhere in the middle, they're designed more to be displayed than played with, not as robust as a lego model but not as fragile as a traditional Airfix. It's worth mentioning that the quality varies, and this is by far the best of the quick builds I've tried (the Spitfire is best avoided). This model has moving parts and some interchangeable parts including the landing gear. Everything fits together well (like lego) although it's not as realistic as a traditional Airfix when built, it's not far off all things considered. In fact, on its display stand I think it looks superb. A couple of downsides, the landing gear isn't great if you decide to use it. It makes the model look more like a toy. The stickers are also a let down, as they seem to be with all of the quick builds. They start to lift at the edges within a few hours and they have a sheen which doesn't match the matt finish on the model and is a real shame. If you're bothered about scale, that's also a downside as there isn't one. These models are 'fit the box' scale to keep them all in the same price bracket, I'd estimate this one to be roughly 1:60 but if you wanted to display it alongside other quick builds they'll all be different scales. Overall I like it, it bridges the gap nicely between Airfix and Lego.

Airfix have done it again!The always popular Harrier is given the Quickbuild treatment by Airfix and it builds up into a surprisingly accurate model. it is fairly straightforward to build but I would advise that you follow the instructions because they have been careful to make it a little challenging for the builder.It is aimed at children from the ages of 5 years upwards but the plans are entirely pictorial and an adult may be needed to help at times with a young one. Like the other quick build kits this one can be taken apart and re-built any number of times.The size of the completed model is about eight inches long and so ideal for the youngsters to play with once built.Very sturdy model it is too! I would thoroughly recommend this kit to all children - and adults like me who want to have a bit of harmless fun! It is also very nice to see a new product that is both DESIGNED AND MANUFACTURED IN THE U.K.. GREAT FUN.No glue or waterslide decals needed;stickers provided for RAF Harrier.(Would have liked a choice of stickers here though). VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I bought this for my 6-year-old nephew, who already has everything a child could wish for, and therefore is a challenge to buy for at Christmas. This quick-build kit was a hit. It did require some adult support in assembling, but it was a fun activity he could do in about half an hour with a bit of support, and then lots of fun playing with the plane once assembled. The plane was approximately smartphone-sized in length and a good size for small hands, whilst not being too small. Would recommend.

Bought this for my 7 year old Son... he's built Airfix models ( with glue and about 5 days to paint and build ) perhaps a bit too long for a 7 year old. That's why this has 5 stars... it took him about 15 minutes to build. We haven't put the stickers on... something my son wasn't interested. ( I was ).... the model is perfect for a self build and durable to play with... it's a great balance, with great details. ( there's a negative, it would be the cockpit canopy (glass bit). It just looks like a clear lego brick... shame as the rest of the model is build similar to lego, it's finished look is very much more like an Airfix model. Suggest a pre-assembled part, or perhaps make the canopy chrome like or more reflective. But not wanting to end on a negative... it's great value for money, and durable to play with, with the fun of model making.

GREAT VALUE AND QUALITY. Airfix is very good model company. These snap together models are ideal for 8 and up. My 8 year old put it together in less than 45 minutes. The snap together tank tracks took a little longer ,but they stay together. An adult will need to help adjust them a little. You can YouTube it to see how easy it is to assemble. He was super excited at his first 1/35 scale tank. I highly recommend this brand . Stay away from those block builds for this age group. The helicopter was a piece of cake to put together for my 10yr old. The tank was a little more because of the track system was a little more complicated but I help my 8yr old through it and he was very happy with outcome. Good buy on both items.

Estupendo. Replica muy fiel, no es frágil así que sí es adecuado para niños. Con 5 años necesitarán ayuda de un adulto para montarlo pero participan activamente. Como consejo: cada vez que montes una pieza aprietala al máximo. El resultado final es muy bueno

カテゴリからいえばプラモデルと言うよりも3Dパズル(トイ)に分類されるだろう。スナップキットだがガンプラとは異なり組立後も再度バラしてまた組立可能である。 スケールはノンスケール(箱スケール)ということになっているがScalemateの記載では1/72、しかし実寸を計ったところ1/60ちょうどであった。 当初の目的は素組・無塗装(アルコールマーカーは可)限定の製作会で紹介する為だったが組立後も巡航モードとVTOLモード両再現が可能な35Bのキットはこれが唯一でもある為折角だから(キット本来の意図はぶち壊すが)ちょい足しディティールアップで飛行機モデルとしてのポテンシャルを確認してみた コクピットインテリアにはシートバックと計器盤フードを追加、ストックパーツからパイロットを搭乗させこのキットで唯一残念と感じたカノピをキットパーツを芯にヒートプレスで作り直しカノピブレイカーを内側から取り付け VTOL用リフトファン及び排気口ランプ裏側は実機では内部整流の為のライナーがあるがキットは内側もペラだったのでプラ板とスチレンボードでライナーを追加 エンジンノズルにジャンクパーツから戦車の転輪を用いたバーナーコア風ディティールを追加 タイアをジャンクパーツから径のあう物に付け替え雰囲気を向上 塗装は成形色のままでも悪くはないがRAMコーティングとの色差を出す為結局全面塗装、そこに自作した海上自衛隊仕様デカールを貼ってIFの海上自衛隊・護衛艦かが搭載機として完成させた トイとはいえ発売元は老舗航空機キットメーカーのエアフィックスである。ちょっとの追加工作で見違えるほど雰囲気は変わった(というか、このキットと同社1/72キットは恐らくCADデータを共有している。悪い筈がない) なお、エアフィックスのキットは昔から可動・差し替え・選択ギミックは豊富に盛り込まれる事が多いが可動ギミックは受け座周りの作りが少々雑なのも昔からの伝統である。このキットも胴体上面のリフトファン用ランプや水平安定板の嵌め込みヒンジが露骨に目立つ(まぁロートダインの貨物ドアヒンジよりはマシだけど)上強度もいまひとつなので下面よりも上面のギミック部を差し替えにして欲しかったな、と
