Can it be used for hunting?

Yes. It is sharp, durable, and it throws well. But will take lots of practice if you are going to hunt by throwing it.

Can you use the end of the handle as a hammer?

Technically, you could use your fist as a hammer, but should you? NO... This tomahawk is not a serious hard use tool. It may be an effective thrower, but the handle is not steel. Notice that the axe head and the butt of the handle are fixed with screws to a polymer handle. If you want a hard use hatchet/tomahawk then buy one that is one solid piece of steel.

Is the sheath Molle compatible?

I would say no, the sheath is just a very simple one with one belt loop in the back.

what is the dimension from the blade to the end of the spike?

Measuring from the center of the handle to the tip of the spike is approx. 3.5". From blade tip to spike tip is approx. 7.5". I think this may vary slightly from hawk to hawk due to edge grinding.
