I have a display on my graphics card, if I plug the display port into the pc and the hdmi into the back of my monitor, will it display on my monitor?

If I understand the question correctly, and you have a DisplayPort socket on your PC graphics card, and HDMI on your monitor, then it should likely display on your monitor, though your mouse might seem a little bit sluggish occasionally,due to the 30hz display rate. Note though that it won’t work the other way round (HDMI to DP).

Can I change it to 60hz as my graphics card supports 60
