Radio talk show therapist Sonny Blake (Rose McGowan) moves back to her childhood home on seemingly idyllic Rosewood Lane after her alcoholic father dies. But upon arrival in the old neighborhood, Sonny discovers her neighbors are terrified of the local paperboy (Daniel Ross Owens). She thinks this is ridiculous, until she encounters the boy himself. It turns out that he is a cunning and dangerous sociopath, one who may have gruesomely killed her father…and others.]]> Review: As Good As It Gets - The stunningly beautiful, wonderfully talented Rose McGowen - need I say more? Well, I am going to. I simply can not understand why complete dreck like "Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter" gets the full Hollywood blockbuster treatment while really good, creepy, stylistic, amazing movies like "Rosewood Lane" go completely unnoticed. The unjustice of it all. This movie is really well done, Rose McGowen is perfect, Ray Wise is amazing, the paperboy (his name is escaping me at the moment) is one of the creepiest vilians in recent memory. Tension, mystery, supernatural elements, just a wonderful story - perfectly realized. Just take a look at the cast for this film and tell me why no one has ever heard of it. I dont get it. One of the best horror movies I have seen in years (I have over 1,500 films in my collection, I collect Rue Morgue, Fangoria, and HorrorHound, I host a horror movie review show on YouTube and have my own review blog......I watch tons of horror films needless to say) and I know from what I speak - trust me. Just turn out the lights, get your popcorn, sit back and enjoy - a wonderful film!!!! 'Nuff said. Review: Suspenseful and Twist! - Excellent quality and really suspenseful! It will not disappoint!

I felt this was pretty entertaining
So a Psychiatrist who's a radio talk show host moves back to her childhood home after her Dad dies. She' s warned about the paperboy right away. The paperboy shows up at her front door immediately. He is definitely scary looking. Not because he' s ugly, because his eyes are coal black and he has a scary presence. He quickly begins to show her why all the neighbors are afraid of him. You never know whether he' s the devils spawn or just a freak. There's lots of spine tingling, nerve racking moments. I watch movies like this because I want to be entertained. This movie entertained me. I read all the bad reviews and I do agree with some of what they said. I would still watch this movie again.

Rose McGowan is the only saving grace in this mediocre film by Victor Salva
Rosewood lane was a lot better than I thought it would be. I must admit I am a big fan of the cheaper creepers trilogy and I am a huge fan of Rose McGowan. I have seen every one of her movies since 1994, benefit of her since 1996. And on every movie that you cannot get digitally plus almost everyone digitally available on Amazon. Now on to the movie... I like the idea. I thought the story was pretty creative, however. It's hard for me to look past the person who directed this movie flat out. This could be an Oscar worthy bill, but the fact it is made by Victor salva. A no a pedofile and sex offender, makes it very hard for me to Give his films. A chance came because. Whether or not the films are good. His past is disgusting. So moving on from what I just stated. Rose McGowan as some place a doctor who moves into her childhood home a year after her father passes away from a mysterious demise and then suddenly gets targeted by a creepy young paper Violently goes after her harbored her family etc.. Things getting weirder, not being able to figure out how and which way he's getting into the house. It also is there a connection with her father's death and this kid does make for an interesting plot. To me, the cast is pretty decent, considering it's an independent movie. Though you know Rose McGowan and Ray Wise are basically the main and biggest starts of the film. Not that that's a bad thing. Just a thing I noticed. However, the movie seems to play on nursery rhymes done in creepy fashion, which I found very interesting in a good way, and now I have that stupid nurse over Rome. Hickory Dickory Dock stuck in my head because of this movie.👻 Overall. I would get this movie 3 and a half stars, but we cant do half stars with the rating System on her. So I gave it 4 stars because I did like it however I definitely thought it was more of a direct to video type of film instead of a film that deserved a System on her. So I gave it 4 stars because I did like it, however, I definitely thought it was more of a direct to video type of film instead of a film that deserved a theatrical release. Which I don't even know if I did go to cinema or not? I have to say with everything going on right now, with the hard and steam situation et cetera with rose McGowan. I do find it funny that she decided to work with Victor. Salva. Because it's very well known its past that he was an. Sex offender had child pornography and sexually assaulted a child who was also a boy under the age 12 etcetera yet still worked with him. That is my opinion and whether or not this is a good movie or not so be still has talent at making films pure it thats besides the point it's just a comment I am going to make because if you're fighting for one sex that's been sexually abused in the industry, what about men and children.

The film stars Rose McGowan who played a radio talk show psychiatrist named, Dr. Sonny Blake. After her alcoholic father's death, she decided to move back to her childhood home, but once she got back in her old neighborhood, she was immediately warned by her neighbor about the local paperboy who seemed to be a strange young sociopath with supernatural abilities. Unfortunately, the boy immediately took a special interest in her; and when he started calling her show, reciting eerie nursery rhymes, an unnerving game of cat-and-mouse begins. As the game dangerously escalated, she suddenly found herself in a terrifying all-out war, one that forced her to redefine her perception of sanity and had her fighting for her life. This is not a movie with pails of blood pouring out or tons of gore spewing about, but I thought it was a nice mild suspense thriller that reminded me of the Twilight Zone days. If you're into stories like that, then this is definitely one you wouldn't want to miss. This actually got a lot of negative review, but I thought it was quite nice. Something you'd love seeing on TV on a slow weekend, sort of thing. One of the many complaints made was the actor who played the antagonist and his being inappropriate to be cast as a paper boy. Granted, he doesn't look like a boy, but take into account his acting skills here, I thought he made a pretty good job on his role. The story itself isn't perfect, and yeah, some choices the characters made were a bit questionable, but isn't that how movie people have always been? Like how they go into a room when we're screaming for them not to? All in all, I thought the actors were great and the story solid enough to see it through.

This is an extremely good film and well worth watching. The suspense and thrilling and some of it quite frightening. Great acting and a well made film you just much watch. Just loved it.

Loaded disc into my DVD + Blu ray player and language came out German. Annoying because nothing on the order window indicated to me that this may be anything but English through and through. Fiddled around until I got English language but found it difficult to turn off subtitles as the menus remained German. Would only give movie 4 out of 10 anyway.

This would have been a good thriller but, maybe due to editing perhaps, the history and fate of some of the characters is not shown therefore the ending makes no sense!
