JW (Joel Kinnaman, Robocop, The Killing), the promising business student who became an organized coke smuggler in Easy Money, is serving hard time in prison and struggling to get back on an honest path. There are glimmers of hope in his life: some venture capitalists are interested in a new piece of trading software he's developed, and while behind bars he's made peace with an old enemy. This all proves to be an illusion. On leave from prison, and back in contact with his former gang, JW learns that once you've walked in the shoes of a criminal there just may be no going back. a worthy if not hugely inventive sequel --Indiewire Review: Captivating Swedish Crime Film! - Gosh, what can I say? I am now obsessed with Swedish films. They are expertly written, realistically shot and captivating. I got into this after seeing Joel Kinnaman in Robocop and had to see more of what this guy had to offer as an actor. He is BRILLIANT as usual and the story just gets better and better as people try to climb their way out of the seedy underbelly of Sweden and try to not get double crossed by doing so. MUST BUY! Review: Five Stars - great film.

Very slow
I really like Joel in The Killing and Hanna but this movie and The Informant is really slow to me. It's hard to keep interest. I wish he would of lasted longer in Hanna.

Just a repeat of the first, but not as good
This is The Lost World: Jurassic Park to Jurassic Park. More of the same. It only exists but its predecessor exists. Ex-cons want to steal from other criminals, things go wrong, people die. It's in four languages, mostly Swedish but also some Serbian and Spanish and a little English (the language you use if they don't speak your native tongue apparently). Lots of shooting guns and profanity, the usual fare in these types of movies. Joel Kinnaman is at least in most of this movie, speaking mostly Swedish as God intended, unlike the trainwreck third film of this series.

poor writing - disappointing
i am a big joel kinnaman fan but this movie isn't that great, i just don't believe it esp. the 2nd one I won't even bother with the third. it all boils down to writing because there are clearly good actors in this film, esp. the spanish guy and the guy who plays the muslim. its sad when you see a good cast of actors but the movie is crap because the writing is not that great.
