40-Foot Hose

Good quality, heavy duty, and well made. No issues with kinking and it rolls up well. I ordered the 40ft hose for my 35 ft pool. My skimmer is closer to one end of the pool so I went back and forth between a 36' or the 40' length. The 40' worked perfecty and price was much better than other suppliers.

Update 6/2024: 2nd season of use and the hose detached from the vacuum head swivel coupling. This was at least partially my fault as the length of hose is just barely long enough to reach the extremes of the pool from the skimmer I typically use. As a result I was likely stressing the connection a little too much. However I was able to repair the connection fairly easily removing the existing clear glue/sealing gasket and affixing the hose to the socket with JB-Weld. I'm not going to deduct any stars from the score though since there is likely some user error to blame for the failure.Does what you would expect. Used for about 1/2 a season now and is still looking good as new. These seem like they will last for many seasons if you take care of them.

Works pretty good for cleaning the bottom of a large old pool.

I have a big pool that I have got when I bought this old house. The pump and filter of the pool are not adequate to the pool size and it has been sitting neglected for a while. I tried polaris outflow cleaner but it is impossible to connect it to old wall adapters - they crumble under your fingers.Intake cleaners do not really work - the pump is not strong enough to create the sufficient negative pressure once filter gets clogged which is pretty fast.So this little guy is an answer to the high electrical bill and an alternative to the bank-breaking pump/filer replacement.First impression:Pros:- the initial setup is ... none. Unpack, plug, drop in a pool. It starts running.- It's fast and powerful- it does good job on walls and does not get stuckCons:- The dirt space (between two double-filters) is pretty small. For a big dirty pool it's not enough.- there is no remote as on some models. So I have to clean steps manually. It falls off steps and does not come back on them.With bigger dirt container I'd give it 5 stars. As it is I have to run it several times in a row because it get totally clogged (yes, the pool is big and dirty - maybe in the maintenance mode eventually it will be sufficient).Overall, after 1st week - recommended. Will see the longevity as we go...

This was a MUCH better price when we bought it a year ago. But bargain pricing isn't much of a bargain if it doesn't last. I don't know how much we paid for our last hose, nor do I remember who made it. But it lasted over 30 years of weekly summer vacuuming our inground pool. In fact it still works. We only replaced it because we've been getting air in the line when vacuuming and suspected there must be a problem with the hose, even though running water through it didn't produce any obvious leaks. This hose was purchased mostly for trial an error. We've gotten enough great deals buying on amazon before, for the low price not to be too much of a red flag - items get discontinued, inventory gets liquidated, vendors have price wars, etc.We used it at best a half a dozen times last summer and anther one or two times this summer, before one day we pulled it out of the pool house and noticed 1-2 inch split near the end, when hooking it up to our manual vacuum. The hose still looks to be in great shape otherwise. But it was very clearly not made to last. We definitely will not buy from this brand ever again.

This is a quality product we have used for over a year. If stored properly in the winter should last a very long time. The best part is the length I can easily reach my entire 35’ pool.
