For a basic solder kit, this thing has it all! So many accessories, but they all come in handy when the time comes. The iron itself works fantastic, heats very quickly. The solder works well, as does the flux. The carry/storage case is a little tight, but otherwise works very well. I do wish the stand was easier to assemble/disassemble to put back in the case for travel, but its a minor complaint. Overall, for the price you'd be hard pressed to beat it.

Great value and surprisingly great quality for the price point. I was fixing an electric scooter and really only bought this for the wires that came in the kit. Turns out, the soldering iron in this kit was better than the one I bought at Walmart and the other one I bought at harbor freight - and this one even included accessories that the others were missing. The temperature settings seem to be accurate and I like how the kit came with almost all the stuff you need for small projects. I was also surprised by the quality of the soldering iron as well as some of the stuff in the kit like the clippers and stand. My only gripe would be the wire strippers are simple and only great at stripping 22 gauge wire, but you can make it work for other gauges with some effort. I bough this for a small electrical project I was working on. I was rewiring the electronics on a rc car which I accidently fried. I didn't have a soldering set and bought this set for this purpose and for any other projects that may come up. As I foresaw myself using this infrequently, I did not want to spend a lot of money on a high end iron. Others have reviewed this very well so I wont repeat the information. This set came with a lot of extras as you can see in the pic. I actually have taken out some pieces and have been using them aside from when I am using the iron. The wire cutters are nice to use instead of using scissors when they are needed. Same with the tweezer. I did buy lead free solder as I believe this comes with leaded. It appears as if lead solder is preferred but I wanted something "safer" just in case I was using this with my kids in the future. The iron worked well for me and got plenty hot for my purposes - I just left it on the highest heat setting. I did buy a separate stand to help free up my hands to use this iron and the solder. If you need a set for occasionally use this will fit the bill and comes with extras that you may find yourself using more than the iron. Would recommend.

Once I got the kit I immediately began using it. The kit itself comes with everything in the pictures, and is a great value on its own. I Swapped out the solder tip that came pre-installed for one that was a bit fatter, and over the course of my 2 days of use I used 2 of the several tips includes. Both worked fantastically. The solder itself was rosin-core I think, so I had absolutely no trouble soldering with it, even without using the flux paste that the kit came with. Not the best solder I've used (because I used to work in manufacturing facilities with the stuff), but definitely some higher grade solder that is great for hobbyist stuff. Its much better than the other 3 solder kits I've purchased over the years, whose solder I've just had to throw out because it was that bad. This is a great starter kit for anyone that wants to get into a hobby that requires soldering, or if you just need to upgrade your original cheap iron with something a little more robust, without breaking your bank. Really, my only complaint after 2 days of use was that when I was finished with it, there was so much stuff in the kit that I found it hard to put back into the box neatly. Well, that and I had to solder with the temperature knob maxed out, but that was likely just because I was soldering 10 AWG wire and it wouldnt keep up otherwise, so I am not holding that against this kit. For the price, its unbeatable.

This kit is fairly extensive given the low cost. It certainly includes everything you need to get started with some basic soldering. You cannot expect the highest quality components in a kit like this, but everything included is functional and will be enough for someone just beginning to learn - or someone who just needs to complete one or two quick projects. The only thing that I personally always use when soldering that isn't included here is a tip cleaner - but that's not surprising as a brass tip cleaner is about half the cost of this entire kit. So maybe add one of those if you really plan to solder often, but it's not required for a couple jobs. There isn't anything included that would actually teach you to solder, which might be nice for a kit which is most likely being purchased by people new to the area. Of course there are countless places online to get such instructions, and everything included in this kit is stardard enough that any beginner's guide will be easy to follow with the included pieces.

El kit trae todo lo que prometen, la calidad del cautín es equivalente al precio. Todos lo demás que incluye, es de baja calidad. Digamos que como de juguete. Si eres aficionado y lo vas a usar una o dos veces por año, es suficientemente bueno, sí piensas usarlo más de éso dudo mucho que te aguante. La relación calidad-precio es bueno. Realmente lo compré para uso doméstico. Y funcionó bien.

Works fine for light usage and convenient if you don't have all the accessories available I guess.
