The negative part first the wires are extremely tiny they're a pain in the ass to work with.There's three wires. Black red yellow. The yellow is for touching the positive to change the pattern. Do not wire in the yellow with the red. If you want a solid light and you don't want it to be flashing or any of the other modes. Just tap the yellow wire until you get the mode that you want. I used them on my overland roof rack. Amounted them to the sides two on each side. They're slim they don't stand out that much. They do have a little bump on the back. Where the wire comes out, as long as you use the foam padding you shouldn't have a problem. Overall I'm pleased I gave it four stars because of the wiring is so tiny.
