Chase Your Dreams: How Soccer Taught Me Strength, Perseverance, and Leadership Review: Amazing - My 7 year old loves soccer so I gave this a try. She loved it. I read it after and what’s great voice about hard work, goals, faith, sacrifice, teamwork, and appreciation for coaches, parents. It is broken up well and think even older kids would get something from it. Review: Good ethical examples for my 11 yr old - Bought this book for my 10 yr old up-and-coming daughter. She was in All-Stars soccer then and eventually made it to club soccer. She's now 11 and I still use examples from this book when my daughter has to make an uncomfortable change, push herself, etc. We kind of skipped around in the book because some parts are dry, but that's to be expected with any biography. The lesson of making uncomfortable changes now to better your future, will stick with her forever--not only in the soccer environment. I loved this book.

Excellent for all young athletes!
Julie does an excellent job describing her journey to the national team. Her passion and sacrifices are well explained. This book would be inspirational for any young athlete with a desire to excel in any sport. Julie's journey of resiliency, hard work and commitment are unfolded and well explained. She also includes the sacrifice and commitment of her parents. I read this book on my way home from Lyon, France and seeing the US team play in the World Cup. I walked away with a greater respect for what it took for Julie to be on the field. I admire her dedication and love for the game.

So motivational for 9 year old boy
My son is an avid soccer player and although this is a female athlete my son still loved this book. He found it to be inspirational at his age of 9. Great read!!

Positive read for kids
I read the book before giving it to my granddaughter. It has a good message for kids and she really liked it. I’m very pleased not many books for 10 year olds that are positive.

This book is excellent. It is extremely well written and isn’t just about Julie’s journey to soccer greatness but also about the character traits necessary for her to be a champion. Highly recommend.
