Review: Reliable sensor works well - I use these to provide the 4-10 ma signal that the level controller I use requires. The cord has a tube in it to equalize the air pressure, which allows it to have a more stable reading.
Review: Works as expected - This sensor is sold under various brands by various firms. (The photo is identical on all offerings here on desertcart.) I have tried three brands, selecting only by price and delivery. We have 12 sensors installed measuring tank levels ranging from 8 to 15 feet in depth transmitting data to a PLC. We dropped them in the tank, filled them, then entered the empty and full readings as our scale. We now have fairly accurate depth measurements for each tank. These units replaced FlowLine EchoPod Ultrasonic sensors that cost ten times the price. The EchoPods continued to throw false readings (empty or full) at apparently random times during the day. These have been solid. The one page of instructions is in Chinese. However, the only item of interest is the photo showing the plus and negative wire. Any electronics tech will understand the obvious way to connect it.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is there a spec sheet we can look for more details ?**
A: No, but it works as advertised. It’s a 20ma current loop so you need a 12-24V PS and a 250 ohm resistor to concert to voltage at the input of whatever it goes to. I believe it can measure 0 to 30 feet of water above the sensor. I am using it to detect a change of about 8 inches so maybe a 100mv swing. There are controllers on amazon for this, however we used a USB converter and an old laptop for a controller.

**Q: Will this work in salt water or will corrosion and salt cause it to fail?**

Sorry, this Submersible Level Sensor cannot work in salt water

**Q: What's the lifespan?**
A: It s hard to say. Only the manufacturere can confirm this.I have some of them working for over a year without any problem.
CAREFULL THOUGH!! THE MEDIA YOU ARE SUBMERGING INTO MUST BE CLEAN WATER. CHLORINE HIGHLY AFFECTS THE UNIT. IT DOES NOT LAST MORE THAN A MONTH IN CHLORINATED WATER OR SEWAGE.
