CLOROX Pool&Spa Active99 3” Chlorinating Tablet, Kills Bacteria & Stops Algae, 35LB

This is the only brand I'll use in my pool. I had a bad algae problem a few years ago that drove me nuts. I switched to the Clorox brand and was really impressed. These keep all algae away for a nice clean pool. But chlorine has really gone up in price, ridiculous!

Delivered as promised. The tablets keep the pool clean without much effort. Several of the tablets were broken, but that was not a problem for me.

As a weekly maintenance item to maintain the proper chlorine level, this product works well. I add one tablet to my floater per week in a 30x15, 15,000 gallon pool. It has an excellent price per tablet, and I have not found much difference versus other tablets either way. The tablets are individually wrapped and are in a secure plastic container. I note that you MUST use rubber gloves when opening the container, and when opening or handling the tablets. Even a small amount of dust will burn. Also, the fumes are extremely bad in the container. Do not store this or open the container inside your home.

This is a good value for the money and you get a lot of tablets. However, the tablets used to be loose in the bucket. It was very easy, I would just use tongs to grab a tablet and drop in my deck chlorinator. Now, they individually wrap each tablet in a little plastic baggie. I have to use my hands to open the bag, which I don't like doing because I don't want to handle the product with my hands. That chlorine smells gets on my skin and takes a long time to go away. Washing with soap doesn't help. I wish they would go back to the old packaging.

I had previously used Clorox tablets for our pool and loved them. What sets these apart is that they are individually wrapped. No more inhaling all of the chlorine dust when opening the container. They do a fantastic job of chlorinating my pool.

I was very pleasantly surprised to find that each 3” tablet was wrapped individually. Usually when you open a container the overwhelming bleach/ammiona gas emitted will burn your eyes, skin and inaled toxic gas fumes. Even wearing mask and goggles did not elimate this caustic exposure. I was so please that with this product each tablet was wrapped individually , to minimize flash inhalation of caustic chlorine fumes. You could handle tablets without exposing skin and fingertips to burns. So glad someone thought of this very important detail. i also believe it helps to protect potency of product during storage.
