Pilot Pens - an Old School Classic
I’ve been looking for these singularly for years as they were once sold in supermarkets (oddly enough) and only offered in packages at office supply stores. Missing their luxurious lines and smoothness on paper of (almost) any sort, I broke down and bought a box and it’s gonna be WORTH IT! I’m already writing to friends and offering a few out to cronies and others with a yen for stationery ephemera and a liking of unique pens. Smooth, dark, and clean lines are the signature but they’re also long lasting and incredibly dependable. They are long and an enjoyable writing tool that will offer years of use. Totally worth the price!

Good, classic pen
Just your average, good classic pen. I am not looking for any kind of special size or color, just a good pen that I can use for every day writing tastes. They fit in my hand well. They write well and perform consistently. The ink dries fairly quickly for the lefties (no more ink smudges on your pinky). I'm happy with them.

Good pen
Love these pens for everyday use. They write smoothly and the ink comes out dark enough for me. They're light weight and they write well, no skipping.

Reunited and it feels so good!
I started using these pens in 1983. I remember the exact details when I discovered how fantastic they were. I even hoarded them to take over to Germany with me in case I couldn't find them there. I had enough to last (and use every day) for nearly 3 years. When I got back to the states I could only find them in some stationary stores (which I hoarded), but then they were nowhere. I've spent the next zillion years searching for another "perfect" pen. I've gone through every pen in the world and have never had the writing experience I've had with these. I pretty much thought that Pilot had discontinued them, so it never occurred to me to even bother looking, but during one of my searches for the perfect pen, a picture of one popped up in google. I checked Amazon and there they are!!!! Would they be the same as I remember? Would Pilot have messed with their perfection? The answer is NO, they are the same wonderful pen that I remember. The ridges keep your fingers from slipping, even if you sweat. They also seems to keep your fingers from cramping. The ink flows beautifully, and even though I'm more of a broad tip person, the ink is smooth, thicker than normal ballpoint pens and doesn't skip, blob, or clump up. I LOVE these pens! If you journal, bullet journal, or just need an awesome reliable, wonderful well balanced pen, buy these!!!!!! Thank you Pilot for keeping it in production, and for keeping it the same. It truly is the Better Pen!!!

Great pen!
I love Pilot brand pens of all types and sizes. This one is really just an ordinary ballpoint pen but I like the ink they use. The pen is longer in length than what I'm used to using but since I have bigger hands I typically like the writing instrument to be longer anyway. The medium point works on contact and I never have to scribble it around to get it to "work". I just bought the black ink so I can only say that the ink is smooth on all types of paper and permanent from what I can tell so far. I believe it works best on softer paper such as newsprint. This is probably true of most ballpoint pens. There is really no smell to the ink on the paper. The cap fits tightly on both ends and not likely to fall off. There are small grooves at the writing end of the pen that help with grip but honestly I would rather have a rubber grip like you see on Pilot's "Easytouch" line of pens. I think if they started making these pens with that grip then I would probably have gave it 5/5 stars.

The best pens!
I’ve been using this pen since I was a first-year high school student back in 1992 in the Philippines. Fast forward to today—now that I’m a mom and my kids are at the age and grade level where they need to use pens—this was the very first brand I looked for. I was so happy to find out it’s available here. You really can’t go wrong with Pilot pens—any type, any day, every day!

This was one of the best and classic Japanese Pen, and Pilot does make such a good pen. It is too bad that this product is discontinued.
