Promised Neverland, Vol. 13: Volume 13

As the story unfolds, Ray and Emma and their extended group of friends for a change do not have to fight demons but a worse type of enemy; fellow humans. Big twists remain a feature of the narrative, wrenches are thrown in teh plans and the pacing is high. And the reader will continue to wonder who is alive or dead. All in all a very exiting volume in the series - the character portrayal and development remains very strong. Also as is rare in this series this book ends in a postive tone and a cliffhanger once more. Very curious for the next volume, now that quite a few new characters have been introduced.

A fight and a huge internal struggle that really shows the heaviness as well as the darkness of this series. The changes in all of the children is stark. There are also new players on the field that we are just now meeting in person rather than the hidden side rumours. I am getting desperate to see where all this will go.

Arrived promptly and an all-in-all good book and classic manga series. Enjoying this series!

I swear this volume was, like, 2 pages long!!! How come it already ended?! So amazing! Kept reading under my breath. Loved every second, cried a lot.

the kids had to abandon the shelter as Ratri’s men had found it. Lucas and Yugo stay behind because they’re the only ones who can kill another human being. I thought this was a fascinating idea, that kids would freeze in the face of another even one trying to kill them. We spend several chapters here and I think it was well spent time. There is no doubt what happened and we needed that kind of closure of this kind of goodbye.
