what is shelf life unopened?

These crunchy, sweet, salty, peanut candy perfection are packed in nitrogen and sealed in air-tight containers to ensure a long shelf life. You won't find an expiration date on the packaging though, which I find a bit strange but I can also say that I have never opened a package and found them to be anything but amazingly fresh and difficult to put down! After a little research and depending on whether it is classified as a toffee candy or a nut candy, I am landing right in the middle of the two shelf lives with a solid 18 month period for product freshness if unopened and not kept in direct sunlight or excessive temperatures.
