Alternative Women's Adrian Fleece Zip Front Hoodie Sweatshirt

I bought 3 different brands of hoodies at the same time: Champion, Vetemen and this Alternative. All were about the same price.Of the 3, Champion and Vetemen seemed like they were made with sturdier fabric and would outlast the Alternative--by far. Yet I ended up returning those 2 and buying 2 more Alternative. Why?1. Although the fabric seems more flimsy and less durable by comparison, the Alternative is soooooo much softer and more comfortable than the other 2. It is just super super soft. The inside is fuzzy and cozy. The downside to that is that this material seems like it will pill eventually a lot more than the other 2. Still, I'd rather live with the pilling in exchange for the softness. Probably best to wash in cold and dry on low to preserve the integrity of the fabric.2. It is attractive. It has a nice shape and isn't too long. The other 2 were pretty shapeless and extended too far down the hips for my taste. I guess these are closer to teen or young adult size (even though I'm 40) whereas the other 2 are more true "womens" size. I'm 5'1", 110 lbs and small fits me very well.3. Ease of movement. Probably because of the fit and lighter weight, I find it much easier to move around in the Alternative hoodies than the other 2. The other 2 felt bulky, like I was wearing a jacket. The Alternative just feels lighter and more contoured to my shape so that it moves better with my body. I wear these around the house all day long.My sister tried my hoodie on and liked it so much she ended up buying one for herself. If you're looking for comfort and slightly fitted look, I'd definitely recommend. If you're looking for durability, this probably isn't your best bet.

The hoodie fits a little smaller than average, but it still fit my girth. I have a 42 inch chest, so that you can measure the proportions. The zipper on this garment is metal and has a tendency to stick, so I can't see it lasting for very long. The fleece on the inside is soft and very warm and I do enjoy wearing it. It feels good against my skin. The one big down side to this garment is how much it pills after you wash it. The inside fleece all comes out in the washing machine and all over your other garments, so when you wash it for the first time, please wash it by itself, unless you want fleece balls all over your other garments. You have been warned! I would purchase another hoodie, but only because I like how it feels and how warm it is, not because the materials as top quality.

As a guy whose also a nonconformist/artist, I have a hard time finding hoodies that aren't the standard colors red/black/blue/grey. This was the only hoodie that was the color I wanted, so I took a gamble purchasing this, not knowing how the cut would fit me. Luckily, it fits exactly how I was hoping. I normally wear large in mens, I ordered this in X-large, fits great, not too short on the torso. It's also really soft and comfortable, if this is true for all women's clothing, I should buy women's clothing more often! Honestly, this hoodie could be listed as unisex.The only critique I have so far is the quality of the zipper. It seems to work fine so far, but it does that thing where the zipper section curves back over in the front a bit. Nothing major, just mediocre on that aspect.

Sweatshirt fit as expected, and the overall design was flattering. Unfortunately, the material was way too thin and the zipper, being white, was too much of a contrast. The color of the sweatshirt was beautiful, but the zipper really ruined it. This one went back - it wasn't expensive but it had too many things that just didn't work for it. Oh - I should mention that even though the material was quite thin, it was very, very soft. I didn't keep it though so I'm not sure if the softness would last through the wash.

A beautiful soft Robins' Egg blue. Not what I was hoping for because it's a heavier fleece than I wanted. Was looking for light weight and got winter weight. Nice but not this time. Addeda size and still a bit too tight if you're looking for abaggy fit.

The material is beyond reproach. Soft, broken in, with a great hand.I'm an XXS, though, and the short, boxy cut made the XS look even larger than it was.I ended up returning it, because of the fit. I bought the standard cut Rocky Eco Fleece hoodie, and even though this claims to run smaller, it's not small enough in my opinion

I've had many Alternative brand sweatshirts over the years, and this one runs really small. I normally wear an xs/s and had to exchange for a medium. Not sure what is happening with the brand quality as this is also the time one of their sweatshirts was so poorly made. After the first washing, the entire sweatshirt pilled up to the point I can't wear it in public- and I didn't even put it in the dryer!

This sweater is a great color and fits well. It's a little long on a petite person, but that's OK. Initially I gave it 5 stars, but am reducing to 4 since it's already starting to pill and I've only owned it for a few weeks. Otherwise it's good for mild winters and is very comfortable.
