My clock quit within 4 months how do I get it fixed, parts, or replaced?

Are the time set and volume controls easy to access??

Yes, they are. You can even sample the chimes by flipping the switch next to them. Also, set the volume of the chimes. At first, they'll be on the loud side when you get the clock. Gently turn the volume ring. Unfortunately, there's no mark on the wheel. So, make a little mark on the wheel so that you know where you are. But, set it for your environment. The clock stops chiming at 11PM. And, start, again, at 6AM, no choices. They say the battery will last a year. Remember the month you started the clock. After 9 or 10 months, have a "C" high power battery around.

Does this clock run silently or can you hear it ticking?

The clock chimes at each quarter hour and on the hour. The sound can be totally silenced, or you can adjust the volume. There is no option to eliminate the clock chiming at each quarter hour. The clock does not have a clicking sound when the chimes are operating or silenced.
