DEMETER Natural Perfume Spray Cologne for Women, Grass, 1 oz

I was looking for a dupe of Gap Grass. I wish they would just bring it back but that’s a whole other issue. This doesn’t smell very grassy at first, but after it settles it does have some grassy notes. It’s a little sweeter and more floral than grass, but it is a nice fragrance. It is definitely well made and long lasting, you can tell there’s a bit of oil in it, which helps the fragrance last longer on your skin.

I was so excited to find this. I knew I was taking a chance with how the scent would work with my body chemistry, but I figured that if it didn't smell right on me, I could spray it around the house. I adore the scent of fresh cut grass. It arrived today, and I couldn't wait to open it up. I am so beyond disappointed. It smells nothing like grass. I can't quite put my finger on what spice it reminds me of, but it's definitely not a newly mowed lawn. I can't even spray this around my house; it is making me feel ill. Perhaps it was a bottle that someone had and returned after sitting in a hot trunk for a week; I can't imagine how else it could smell so far off from the fresh green I was expecting. Hoping I can return it, but as it's a fragrance, I'm not holding my breath. Well, in a sense, I am holding my breath while waiting for this total fail to dissipate :(

This smells like fresh cut grass initially. The dry down smells like a real pineapple. Earthy slight sweet pineapple. Nothing synthetic at all.

Wanted the scent I wore in middle/high school. This, is not it. It smells nice, but it does not smell like grass. It smells more like... Grandma's room or Auntie's house. A sort of floral, sort of fake, sort of sweet unidentifiable (stick ups?) smell. But it is no replacement for Gap Grass from the 90s. Sorry if that is what you came for. It is what I came for too, but this, is not it :/

Not gap grass, but close enough grassy smell to layer and get the effect I need. The scent is very nice upon application. Slightly more soapy once dry. At first, I adore this scent. However, after a few hours, especially if it's warm out this thing mutates into the worst "I just ran 10 miles, then rolled around on wet muddy grass, then swam in a lake, then did some hot yoga, then rolled around again in the mud" sort of smell with large silage too! I've tried layering with other, better lasting scents - nope. Smells so bad after a few hours that I pretty much have to shower after a few hours every time I wear this. Definitely a love/hate with me. I've used half the bottle, but every time I wear this I'm always a little disappointed that it's not better. Could also just be the way it reacts to my skin too.

First of all, I’d probably rate it 2 stars but since there is no way to return the junk, it gets docked to one. If you smell it in the bottle, it smells like grass. Hence the name. Later, it starts smelling sweet and at time of eucalyptus. I did read some other reviews that mentioned the scent changing. I was so eager to find something like the 90s Gap Grass that I gave it a go anyway, and I wish I didn’t. Another note: the delivery driver left it in my mailbox and it was below freezing outside. One would think they’d mark the package to not do that as it could affect product quality.

I read about Demeter years ago but finally bought myself some fragrances recently. I was intrigued by how authentic the scents were rumored to be and can now say they are startlingly close to the real thing. This smells almost exactly like fresh cut grass. It also lacks that chemical scent that a lot of perfumes/colognes can have.

Exactly the fresh, summery scent I hoped it would be. Maybe it's the difference in body chemistry but this lasts well on me ( I had noticed some reviewers saying the opposite but am glad I tried it anyway). Will buy this again.
