Talk To Me In Korean Workbook Level 1

I’m just starting to learn Korean and this workbook has honestly helped me SO much! It goes perfectly with the Level 1 lessons from Talk To Me In Korean, and the practice feels fun, not boring.

I absolutely love the Talk To Me In Korean Workbook! This company is fantastic for anyone wanting to learn Korean. The workbook is easy to follow, making it great for self-study, and there are tons of resources on their site that complement it perfectly. The lessons are short and manageable, so I never feel overwhelmed. Overall, it’s a fun and effective way to learn a language. Highly recommend!

My friends started teaching me Hangul and some phrases and words in Korean. I really enjoyed it, and wanted to get some more systematic learning that included grammar. This workbook and the free audio lessons on the talktomeinkorean.com website have been really great and helpful - I've learned a lot after completing workbook level 1! The audio lessons are great and explain everything very well with a lot of personality - the hosts are fun and make the lessons enjoyable to listen to. This workbook is a great way to practice what is taught in each audio lesson, and has a lot of review as it continues to introduce new vocabulary and grammar each lesson. It also offers great practice for writing in Hangul. Another great aspect is the dictation exercises. Overall, I feel like this workbook does a great job covering a lot of the key areas when learning a language - vocabulary, grammar, writing, and listening.

If you are seriously interested in learning Korean- go to www.talktomeinkorean.com. The books help reinforce everything that you have learned by following the curriculum on the website. Hearing the dialogues between 2 people or more really help in understanding what the words are suppose to sound like. As someone who owns over 50 different programs, & books I know a thing about making learning Korean easier. I would rate the T.T.M.I.K & italki.com as the top websites to help you learn korean, and become fluent in speaking.(italki is great, affordable & has you almost immediately carrying a conversation in korean) My top books for self learning are: Korean made simple by Billy Go, Korean from zero 1 by George Trombley/Reed Bullen, Living Language Korean complete edition by Living language/Jaemin Roh, Korean for Beginners: Mastering conversational korean by Henry J. Amen IV/Kyubyong Park Integrated Korean (Klear textbooks) Although I wouldn't suggest starting here, as it can be a bit intimidating for the self learner.

I really like that this workbook is actually a workbook. The audio files that are online are really fun to listen to and learn from. It isn't line by line or word by word but each audio file is a conversation of the topic about 10 - 15 minutes long. You must pay attention to what they are saying to pick up the answers to each question in the book. It's not robotic, they give us the opportunity to hear native Korean pronunciation through each of their lessons! Thanks TTMIK, you've made it fun :) Also, they came out with E-books on their website if you don't mind not having a physical copy, it's half the price :)

I'm very happy I found the online Talk to Me in Korean course, and this book is very helpful as review for the online lessons. The material is well presented and works as reinforcement to what you get online. I gave it four stars because the only reservation I have is that the MP3 practice files are not numbered properly, and a few seem to be missing. But you can get that material from the course itself. TTMK is the best Korean course I've found and I feel I'm getting a lot out of it. These workbooks add to the value of the course.

I've been happy with TTMIK's lessons and workbooks so far. I've found them to be a good general curriculum to follow while using other tools to help learn Korean. You'll also want to pace yourself and review previous lessons as you go along. I do recommend using other resources as well. The workbooks and lessons don't really cover things like reading and writing Hangel in detail. They have a separate lesson/book for that though, if you want. I have some iPad apps that I use to learn those. I enjoy the audio lessons. They aren't too long, but long enough to learn something new. The workbooks help a lot with practicing and committing the lessons to memory. If you haven't tried TTMIK before I recommend listening to some of their lessons from the beginning. Doing that on their site is free. If you like what you hear and want to continue I highly recommend picking up the workbook.
