I am waiting for this to arrive still but I am a repeat customer multiple times over. Each time I order I get exactly what I was hoping for. A solid product perfect for making my own potting mix for garden veggies! VERY LARGE BAG! A good price too compared to buying it in smaller quantities from big box stores. All I can say is get it if you need it. If youre here, look no further, THIS IS THE ONE!

For a medium-coarse perlite, this product is an excellent value for money, especially considering its size (4 cubic feet). I am particularly fond of using perlite in my planting mixes, as it effectively improves soil aeration and enhances water retention. As mentioned, this is a medium-coarse grade perlite, which I utilize in my planting mixes for herbs, vegetables, potted tropical plants, and other similar items. Typically, I incorporate approximately one-third of perlite to my mix, with the remaining two-thirds consisting of a standard soil mix or moistened peat moss. The amount of perlite can be adjusted based on the specific plants being grown. For instance, I use at least 50% perlite when planting succulents. Regarding dust, it is true that this product contains perlite dust. However, it is comparable to the dust produced by other suppliers I have used and, in fact, may even be slightly superior. When pouring and mixing the perlite, I recommend wearing a mask to avoid inhaling the dust. Alternatively, if you prefer not to use a mask, you can spray the portion of perlite you intend to use with water, which effectively settles the dust. I use the perlite to make seed starter mix. It gives the coco coir a nice fluffy texture and allows the seeds to penetrate through. There wasn’t much dust at the bottom compared to some other bags I purchased in the past.

I am a big fan of using perlite in my planting mixes as it does a great job with soil areation and helps with water retention as well. You can increase or decrease the amount of perlite depending on what you are planting. For example, I use at least 50% for succulents. The last point is regarding dust. Yes, there is perlite dust in this big bag; however, it is no worse than any other supplier that I have used; it's actually a bit BETTER! When pouring and mixing, I do recommend wearing a mask, just you don't breathe in the dust. Another simple recommendation if you don't want to mess with a mask, is to spray the portion of perlite you are going to use with water and it does a great job settling the dust. Best quality perlite. Most consistent size, not overly expanded, as little dust as is possible for this kind of thing. Used several seasons with success. Tried other brands, and all are about the same price, but quality is more variable. I'll stick to this one.

This perlite is high quality. It’s lightweight and works great for improving drainage and aeration in soil mixes. You will have to clean it before using as it is SUPER dusty! Super easy to use and helps with the root health of my plants! There is no smell that I have noticed. Exactly what I needed for my plants. Good value for the quantity. I will say it is very small so if you’re wanting a chunkier perlite this is not what you need!

Great value for the money if you need bulk good quality shipped quickly and arrived in original packaging unharmed inside of box and you get4 cubic feet for the price of the overpriced fancy package versions that are only a handful compared to this and inferior quality in my opinion.
