How does the noise-cancelling compare to Bose headphones in blocking nearby voices? Especially while not playing music?

I've never had the Bose so i can't give you comparisons. Ive only ever purchased MD products because they are an artisan product which is what i prefer. I can telly you that they are incredible in their audio quality (exceptional bass) and noise reduction and keep me sane on flights!
