Works great on small bugs.
This stuff works great for my issue. Which is false chinch bugs coming indoors. I bought an old rural fixer upper for retirement. And the seal around door and window frames leaves something to be desired. And as it turns out, this area has seasonal problems with small bugs that can invade houses, like gnats and chinch bugs. Harmless in small numbers, but annoying in large numbers. So I tried this stuff out around the drafty sliding glass door frame leading to the backyard, and within two days there was dozens of dead bugs on the floor by the door, and no live bugs in the kitchen. And better yet, after sweeping those dead bugs up, there were a dozen more new dead bugs the next day, and the next. Which means the residual effectiveness actually works. warning: I highly recommend a brand name (3M) N95 mask while spraying this stuff. If you breathe in even a few airborne droplets of this stuff, you will be coughing and choking for the next 15 minutes. Not fun. N95 masks are rated for particles down to 0.3 microns (e.g. smoke). Which will easily filter out the airborne mist droplets while you spray the pesticide. A few bucks is worth it to not be breathing in pesticide. pros: - Absolutely does work for annoying small bugs, ants, gnats, etc. They make it about a foot past the sprayed area before dying. - The residual killing effect after spraying surfaces actually works. Continues to kill for at least 4 weeks after spraying. (Maybe longer, but I applied it again after 1 month to make sure) - Not stinky a day after spraying. (A noticeable smell when first applied but gone by 24 hours.) - Not messy or oily. (A wet film at first, obviously. But nothing noticeable after it dries and goes to work.) cons: - Will wash away in the first rain if used outdoors, and says so in the fine print. This is an indoors product, not a lawn and garden treatment. - The fine print says that spiders must be sprayed directly in order to kill them. So in other words the residual effect of spraying around in dark corners doesn't work on them. So if spiders, or really anything larger than a housefly, are your problem then you may need something stronger (and more dangerous) than this product.

Using in conjunction with monthly pest control and happily finding casualties
* * update: I had a chance to speak with our pest control guy on his last visit. When I mentioned that I'd been using this product between his visits he clarified his original recommendation for using this. He cautioned against using this on the exact same areas that he sprays. He said that sometimes using this on top of his spray can nullify the effectiveness of both. He sprays along the entire perimeter of our house structure and he clarified using this product further out along the perimeter edges of the walkways and patio. Original post: Despite having monthly pest control service, we still occasionally find pests in and around the house. Most specifically and most hated are the roaches. Our pest control guy actually suggested this product as something we can do as an extra deterrent ourselves. I've sprayed the exterior perimeter of the house and have already found roach casualties in the area. I haven't yet felt comfortable (despite the assurances) spraying this inside the house, but if it continues to do this great a job outside, there shouldn't be a need to spray inside at all. The spray gun works well, requires no pumping or squeezing, so it's easily used by anyone even with hand agility issues. I've sprayed this on my wood siding, concrete walkways and along patio baseboards and on patio tiles - - - there is no residue, staining, shine or color change at all. I've gotten spray on plants and none have shown any distress either. I'm sorry roaches, I am happy to say this is hopefully your downfall.

Sprayer doesn't work on bottle but they sent replacement
I raised my review from one star to four star because when I called them, the company sent me a replacement sprayer. The original did not work. By the way, there is an adjustment at the tip of the sprayer that must be in one of the two "on" positions.... otherwise it makes noise but does not spray. Also it may need to be primed by having the sprayer level with the ground when you first start spraying.

Great buy
I have been buying this stuff repeatedly for 3 years now and apply in spring and fall. Helps to keep all those pesky bugs at bay.

Great Product
Excellent product. The first ant I see in the house, I spray around the entire foundation and never see another one for the season. I highly recommend it.

This stuff works! The only good spider is a dead spider...
I've been using Bug Stop for many years - at least 15 or so. I used to buy it from local hardware stores, but times have changed and they either don't carry it anymore or their price is too steep. This stuff kills spiders. Period. I live in an area that seems to get lots of outdoor smallish brown spiders. No idea what they are called (not brown recluse), but they make webs *everywhere*. I spray the sides of the house, the roofline, nearby bushes, anywhere I see their irritating webs. The webs even get on the outside of our vehicles sometimes, particularly around the grill or side view mirrors. Bug Stop spray does not seem to harm the car finish in any way. I generally spray in spring, then also in summer. The result is a spider-free environment. Yay! Amazon's price is extremely fair, and the sprayer mechanism works well. I do agree with others that the 'fumes' make my nose run, and I also cough. I use a disposable mask - you know, the kind that were everywhere during Covid - and that helps a lot.

The spectride works good.
Container arrived with a crack on the bottom allowing leakage. The pump is poor quality and does not pump when tank is held at the waist high and nozzle is lifter up at arms length to spray on top of door frames. Pump often stopes pumping even when the motor is running. After contacting the company they are sending me a new pump.
