We have 2 parakeets in a pretty good-sized cage, and a single parakeet in a separate cage (that’s a little smaller), and I try to change the lining in both cages once a week. But could probably go longer — these work really well, and I’m happy with them! **Q: how many pads in box?** A: 7 pads in each box. **Q: how many are in the box?** A: There are 7 in the box and we really like using them. **Q: I want to use on top of the bottom grate to keep it cleaner. Is is safe?** A: If you fold over edges, it is an absorbent paper, but there is an edging in plastic, I would not want my budgies to be able to eat.
