Paul - Brown Color Modern Coat Rack/Stand, 70" High

LOVE this coat rack. I searched wide and far for a simple, modern design in white. I was willing to pay a much higher price to find this style, so this was a steal for the look. (My purchase was a white coat rack, although the product is currently listed as brown.) It takes up a small footprint in my Manhattan apartment, while holding several heavy coats and a pile of scarves and hats. The small metal base is sturdy enough that I never worry about it toppling over, but it isn't too heavy to move around when I need to reposition the rack in my apartment. I also like that the arms aren't entirely fixed. I find myself rotating the arms around to reach a coat that was hanging on the backside against the wall, and depending on which coats are hanging, I can point the arms out as needed to accommodate more coats, or minimize the rack towards the wall. Also, underneath the metal base is a plastic layer that raises the metal off the floor just by a hair - this is ideal to avoid scratches on wood floors and can not be seen once the coat rack is upright. Overall, perfect for my needs and also a lovely, simple piece unlike anything else I was able to find.

This is a great, clean Japanese design. Square "stem" and "branches" look simple and clean and a little bit whimsical. Could be out of a MUJI store. The base and "stem" are metal, the four stacking sections with the hooks are plastic, so fingers crossed that they're sturdy, but they look well made. Those sections do slide down over a metal rod, so they've thought about it. The whole thing is pretty easy to assemble, which is good because the instructions are all in Japanese, which I don't read! Everything looks well made, fits together nice and straight, high quality rather than cheap. Great!

Nice looking. The base is a light metal cover over a plastic weight. The lower half of the pole is metal. The four hook pieces, which extend above the pole, are made of light, cheap, plastic As other reviewers have noted, the hooks rotate. They are not completely secured to the pole or each other. While their rotation may be a good chareristic for some, the lightweight nature of the hooks and the ease in which they rotate is disappointing, especially goven the price of this thing.

LOVE this gorgeous coat rack. I have a small apt, so every inch counts -- glad this beautiful, modern coat rack has a small profile! The only complaint I have is that the top few pieces aren't bolted to each other, so occasionally they become loose and wiggle around. I can imagine this is useful for some people, though. Overall, great coat rack!

Lightweight yet sturdy. Easy assembly. Currently holds multiple coats and hats with ease. Nice style - fits well with eclectic, modern, and traditional styles.

Just what I was looking for. Easy to assemble and makes for an interesting addition to the entry way. I didn't want the standard, typical coat rack.

It looks nice in the picture. Nothing on the seller, but once I got it, it seemed kind of cheap and plasticky. I wanted something fancier, but I guess what did I really expect for $80. I think I would have gone for the IKEA rack instead though since its cheaper and more generic.
