Easy to read scale makes this device indispensable in measuring hydration of honey. We found a lot of uncapped honey that was well below the cut off for fermentation. A must have for extracting honey.Added two years after purchase: We have had the opportunity to compare this (less expensive) unit with other units, and it is remarkably consistent in performance and consistent with other units. We now have more confidence in what it is telling us about moisture levels in our honey. ### ⭐ 1.0 out of 5 stars Cheap *by B***E on Reviewed in the United States on October 14, 2015* First thing out of the box I tried to calibrate it with distilled water. The adjustment screw broke off on the first turn. If it weren't for that, and if it could be calibrated properly, it would be just fine. I had to use some honey that I already knew was at least under 18% as a baseline, and anything above I had to consider too wet and anything below was good. Luckily, all the honey I had to test that day was below the baseline. Hopefully I just got a lemon.
