I sweat a lot at night when I've drank a lot of water during the day and there's no sweat residue. I wouldn't say it's soft, it's more tough to me but not a bad feeling for my skin. It's also thick and definitely stays as a fitted sheet because the pockets are deeper than my old ones. I haven't experienced any pilling. It does wrinkle a bit but not to a point it bothers me. They are sturdy and the dark blue color is vibrant and fade-free. While they were wrinkled when I first got them, the wrinkles dissipated on their own accord. They are thick and easy to put on and have a great pocket depth.
