Soothing for sensitive skin
The only thing I’ll use on my face for years. Recommended by a dermatologist for body acne but started using it on my face also. I use other medications that “control” the acne but this is the only face wash my sensitive skin likes. Gentle and soothing.

Good Things Take Time
This soap was introduced to me by an acquaintance. I was telling her how I have acne all my life, and sometime it is worse than others. She told me about this soap. It’s now my holy grail. I’ve been using this for 3 and half months now. I’m proud to say I’m going to keep buying it. It is rather expensive for a bar of soap, but it does the trick. I actually cut the soap into 4 decent size pieces. You can try using a knife to cut it piece by piece. It does break sometime, but it doesn’t matter. I use the broken down piece. The reason why I say cut it into several pieces if because the soap does get slippery and it will keep falling off your hands. You need to use water and wait for the foam to start showing on your hands, wait for the “sticky” stuff to appear on your hands, and then put it onto your face. Leave it on for at least a minute for better results. I usually leave it on for about 3-5 minutes at least bare minimum Onwards to the results, you have to have patience with this soap. It does bring down your current acne a whole lot after a day. For instance, I had acne that were getting bigger and even had puss on it. Once I use the soap, it literally shrinks it and the puss comes out right away. It starts to heal and becomes smaller. If you use this consistently like I do everyday, it will eventually clear your skin off some more. Takes time. It’s not an overnight miracle but it does have some mini miracles. I use this twice a day. Once in the morning, once after I do my yoga work out in the middle of the afternoon. I do have to say that it does dry my face out, so I use a nice moisturizer afterwards. Best if you use sunscreen. I use the Sun Bum that has no break outs sunscreen. I also advise that you buy a soap box holder. Putting it in a plastic zip bag is ok but I prefer to put it in a soap box. I got one for 95 cents at Wal Mart. The reason why I say soap box is because the bag can stick to the soap when you put it in, and it will leave left over soap onto the plastic. If you have a soap box, you can scope up the left over soap and can still use it. It’ll be harder if it was stick onto a plastic zipper bag. Just my opinion. If you use the soap right, one bar of soap can last you 2-3 months depending on how you use it. My first bar lasted me for 2 and half months. I’m on my 2!d bar of soap right now and it’s holding off well. Like I said, I suggest cutting the soap into 3-4 pieces. They don’t have to be even but that makes your soap last longer. Each smaller piece, it lasted me about 2-3 weeks. That’s my two cents about this soap! ^_^

Controls dermititis but gives pimples!
November 14/2012 As an **exclusive** ZNP bar user for over ten years due to Seborrhea dermatitis I was petrified when I found out it was no longer being made. With only a sliver left I was forced to act FAST. I read one review on Amazon that said she was actually THANKFUL that ZNP had stopped making it because as a result she'd found Noble Formula! Enough said, I was sold! BAR SHAPE: As the photo's demonstrate this is a rectangular shape with edges on the bar. In my opinion this should be modified. It's awkward to hold and to use. Eventually this will round out but why not change it to a more pleasing shape? It's not a deal breaker but you get what I mean. Bar Texture: No other word to use other than slimy! When this bar gets wet it's a total slime fest! The bumps of oatmeal are probably one of the things that keep it from slipping out of your hand. Who knows, maybe the square form helps? Not sure since my bar hasn't rounded off yet. Lather: NONE! If you enjoy a nice thick lather be prepared! This doesn't even give the sense of lather! It is slimy and that's what you get- PERIOD! Rinse and feel on the face: Ok I'm not going to lie - it feels weird! At first I thought oily and was very concerned it wouldn't clean my face or rinse off well but it actually does both and rinses off very easily! I would have thought it would `cling' and give me a dirty maybe even oily feeling. I have a naturally oily face so I was very worried. This rinses so easy and fast it really is shocking! And I'm left with a clean feeling! After the rinse: As already stated once rinsed and dried my face feels soft and CLEAN! There's none of that tight feeling or dryness in areas! It's a very spa like result! Exfoliate: Recommended use method: The oatmeal is meant to help gently exfoliate but since I am using this on only my face I am used to lathering in my hand and then applying from hand to face. As a sufferer of dermatitis I've always been told not to scrub. So I'm not certain the oatmeal is really any use to me as an exfoliate. I've tried to take the bar and apply it directly to my face but it's awkward. This may be more help if you use it on the body but for me it just helps to grip the bar! Scent: Not much if any at all. There's really no scent to this when I smell the bar. It does have a slight smell when in use that I don't care for but the scent is mostly gone once you rinse it off. Overall Review: I did see slightly less drying on my face versus the ZNP bar but with normal use I began to have breakouts! NOT GOOD! Now that the soap bar has worn down some it is less slick because oatmeal in it comes out more. I find the oatmeal rough and could not imagine it being classified as 'gentle' but that's my opinion. Recently my dermatologist recommendaed Cetaphil so I started to use that. I find the Cetaphil does not cause me breakouts but it does not control my dermititis either. As of now I'm using Cetaphil daily but suplimenting with Noble Formula a few times a week (one daily application only) for the areas I have the worst flaking. It seems to be working so fingers crossed!

Great for PeriOral Dermatitis!
First off, let me point out that I NEVER leave reviews as most things perform as expected. It's only when products perform poorly or better than expected that I think it's worth the time (sorry vendors). I have an autoimmune disorder that results in ongoing skin issues of various kinds. Recently, I have been battling PeriOral Dermatitis. I've had it in the past, although it was misdiagnosed, and was always given a corticosteroid. The last episode I chose to go a more holistic route and used salt water to clean my face. It worked but took a while and I didn't really enjoy the feeling. This time, I really dove in to learn more and see what others were doing for their POD. The best 2 things for me, 40% zinc oxide cream (max strength diaper rash cream works) and this soap! I knew that your body needs zinc for healthy skin (and other stuff too), but had never thought to look for a zinc soap. Better late than never! As soon as the pkg arrived, I opened this and washed my face with it. No stinging or burning and not over-drying, so yea! This was right after work so around 5-ish. Continued with my day and, as bedtime rolled around, time to see how the face looked. Imagine my disbelief to see the redness had diminished and the blisters were also reduced!! I was shocked! Decided to go ahead and tempt fate and wash my face again. Morning has come and I am a true believer in this soap. My skin does NOT look like the sahara and the rash is 70% improved. I may be premature in my victory dance, but I think the rash could be completely gone by the end of the weekend. If you have POD, try this, try this, try this. I really don't think you'll be disappointed. Now that I've said all of that, I will give you one little word of caution: if you are prone to random gross-out factors, this soap may give you the heebies. Generally, I have a strong stomach but certain random things do gross me out (it's a completely illogical personal quirk). Besides having zinc, this soap also has emu oil in it. Wonderful for all kinds of skin issues, but it also seems to produce strings of slime when you're working with the soap. In true personal fashion, the slime put me on the verge of a gag reflex. Don't get me wrong - right now you would have to pay me some serious money to get me to part with this soap, but it does gross me out a little. My tactic for continued use is to not look at the soap and, hence, not see the slime because it is certainly worth it to get rid of this rash. And it does seem to lose the slime as you begin to work up the lather in your hands. But it could turn some people off. That's all I'm saying. Bottom line... if you have skin issues, try this soap. To me, it's worth it's weight in gold despite the slime.

A good accessory in fight for good skin
I have seboreic dermatitis that flucuates between mild (not visible) and disgusting (splotchy reddness, small flakes on cheeks, flakes in eyebrows, itching, roughness). For me, this bar worked OK. My skin responded much better to topical steroids. If someone is reading this review and suffering similar symptoms I would recommend buying this product (if you have the money), but DON'T delay in seeing a dermatologist-- especially if you have scaling in the eyebrows/hairline, once you lose hair, it doesn't always grow back well. I read that for some this bar changed their life, or was a much-needed replacement for some ZNP bar. This was not the case for me. I don't apply steroids often and I usually dilute them when I do, but eventually I require steroids to get my skin under control. This soap appealed to me because I was reluctant to go on steroids because of their side-effects. I would ideally treat the source of inflammation (presumably some microorganism) rather than the symptom (my body's own responses, probably trying to fight microorganisms). Dermatologists aren't sure why zinc seems to work. It might kill some fungi (at this concentration MIGHT) that could be giving you problems, it will give some bacteria a hard time, but it might also be interacting with your skin cells. Or all of these. Either way, you are not going to de-colonize your face with this or any other OTC zinc product, and there is a wide range of possible pathogens, and the theories as to which of these are the culprits for various conditions seems to not be well established. You have to go with what works for you. I would say give this a try. About the soap itself: Like other people said, the oatmeal is scratchy, and kind of useless. I don't think it has any chemical interaction with your face to help the inflammation, but, whatever. As this soap sits in a dish, the bottom gets really soggy/gooey. This depletes it faster because large portions smear off when you lather it. It doesn't smell nice, but the smell is neutral. For sensitive skin it is usually a good idea to avoid perfumes anyway. None of the above really mattered to me. I did like that (besides the scratchy oatmeal) this soap was very gentle. It has a lot of moisturizers, but it rinses off fairly clean, and leaves face feeling nice.

Missing Piece
I have had this same bar for a year and I’m guessing it will last me another 6-12 months. I use it twice a day. I use this in conjunction with my own mixture of 1/2 castor oil 1/2 almond oil that I oil cleanse with before hand to loosen up any sebum or clogged pores. Then I go in with this to use the zinc as an acne treatment. Ever since using this combination— admittedly in conjunction with lactic acid, tretinoin, vitamin c, sunblock— my acne has disappeared. Finding this bar was the last step I added in in addition to all the other active mentioned and for me it made all the difference. All other cleansers were too harsh or too lotiony. I don’t react well to anything with fragrance, glycolic acid, or salicylic acid. This zinc bar was what my acne needed and my acne was more under the skin, painful liquidy pimples. Not tiny fungal acne that this is commonly used to treat. So if nothing else has worked for you as far as cleaners give this a try- and for the love of God get yourself on a retinol.

For acne sufferers!
I only write reviews to help other people and this has been my story up until now. We, with skin issues all know how hard it is to find products that actually work! I'm 33, with acne EVERYWHERE (scalp, face, neck, back, chest, even blackheads on my bum and thighs) and have suffered with bad skin since I can remember. I've tried every OTC acne treatment and every prescription that my dermatologist has recommended (topical and oral). The only treatment that I haven't tried is Accutane, but I refuse due to the fear of risks. I don't eat dairy or processed foods so my diet isn't the issue. Anyways, I was told at my last dermatologist visit to try this soap for body acne. I thought what the heck? I've spent hundreds for guaranteed results that have failed so why not a $13.00 bar of soap? I've used this to wash my whole body, including my scalp, for about 5 nights now. It doesn't lather well so it does take time to really wash your scalp (do not wash my ends) and I leave it on my body and scalp for as long as it takes to shave, etc. Annnnnndddd, OMG! I've seen such a reduction in redness and bumps overall. My bum has broke out but I honestly believe it's just pulling all the blackheads out (I hope). My scalp has been the first to respond as far as clearing up, and I actually feel confident to go get my hair done soon. The soap does make my skin feel waxy clean (like stripped of oil) but it's actually really soft once skin is dried. **I haven't washed my face with it as I'm currently using a gentle cleanser and Azelaic Acid as prescribed. This product works for me so far and I know that people respond differently to products; however, if you're struggling with body/scalp acne, give this a try! Cons: The soap gets "loose" and slimy if left in shower. This can be wasteful. I've been putting mine in a sandwich bag and putting it up after use to retain the soap. Also, if you're super sensitive and a reluctant to use products or wonder why you're breaking out. Use the link below to check skin irritants in products. You can search the product name and/or an ingredient. Anything 3 and over in rating is a skin irritant and causes clogged pores/acne. www.Cosdna.com.

This Soap Is a TEMPORARY Life-changer
For the past 9 years I have had seborrheic dermatitis on my face. It began rather mildly, but over the years it had become quite severe, spreading from the usual "T" area of the eyebrows and nose until it gradually took over most of my face. In any given month I would be lucky to have 1 day with no signs of the redness or scales. I felt extremely self-conscious, especially at work where I am constantly interacting with other people. I mean, somebody's face is the first thing you see and mine had become a red, scaly, ugly mess. The usual steroidal gels and lotions were somewhat effective at keeping the scales to a minimum, but I had to apply them 5 or 6 times a day and the redness seemed unaffected by their use. It was constantly there, and each month it seemed it would spread to another part of my face. I had gone to several different dermatologists who all had the same story: I would have to use prescription medicines to keep it "under control" and I would ultimately have to learn to live with the symptoms. At first I listened to their advice. But after a while I began to experience depression over my condition and I knew I had to find something that would alleviate these symptoms or else I was in real danger of falling into severe clinical depression over my condition. I decided to IGNORE what my dermatologists told me and I began to try numerous kinds of shampoos, soaps, lotions, and home remedies. But no matter how many I tried, none of them worked for me. I began to think that maybe the dermatologists knew what they were talking about and I'd just have to come to grips with the fact that my face was destined to look ugly for the rest of my life. At long last I stumbled on Noble Formula on Amazon.com. I read some of the reviews and I began to have a glimmer of hope that maybe, just maybe, this product might help me. I paid the $9.99 and had it delivered in two days with my Prime membership. I received the bar and used it the next day during my morning shower. Typically the way my dermatitis manifests itself is immedately after showering my skin looks OK - a little redness, but no scaliness. Then about 45 minutes after my shower the redness and scales appear in full force. But this day was different. No scales appeared at all, and the redness was more of a slight pink coloration. I was cautiously optimistic, but in the back of my mind I had a spark of excitement that I might have actually found something that works. I used the soap again the next morning. That day was truly one of the best days of my life. Not only did no scales appear anywhere on my face, but there was no redness or discoloration at all. None. Nowhere. It was completely gone! I used this soap 5 or 6 times in the course of the next week and my symptoms simply aren't there anymore. They have gone away completely and I have gotten back not only my healthy facial skin but also my self-esteem. I'm no longer embarrassed to talk to people because of my facial condition. This soap has been a LIFE-CHANGER for me and I mean that in all sincerity. If you have a serious case of Seb Derm and you've felt anything at all like I felt, I can't encourage you enough to try this product. I'm not guaranteeing that it will work for you (as apparently some of the other reviewers did not experience the same results I did). However, $10 is a small price to pay to try to get your life back. It worked for me and this has literally been the best $10 I have ever spent. ***SIX WEEK UPDATE*** Long story short: the soap stopped working after about four to five weeks and my Seb Derm is back in full force. While it worked, the soap was terrific. Looks like I built up some sort of "immunity" to whatever it contains that was doing the trick for me. Story of my life!
