We have been using it about 3 weeks now. So our rating for durability might change over time but for now it is working perfectly. We used regular liquid hand soap in ours filling it up about a third of the way and filled the rest with water. It dispenses the soap foamy as we like. It was easy to install overall just having to kind of play with screws since the hole alignments weren't perfect probably a slight misalignment by us as holes were drilled. We didn't have to drill more holes though. We just jiggled screws and mount. The only real issue we had was the product doesn't come with the plug and product description doesn't provide the plugs model name or a link to the plug. We used Google to locate the plug model name on Alpine site and found a link on Google to the plug on Amazon. This is because the soap container is not transparent enough.However we love the dispenser still and would purchase again.
