Shows diagrams and photos of pressure points
I am so glad I found this book. It explains how to use your fingers on acupressure pressure points to help your body heal. There are over forty chapters covering many different aliments, including: Acne, Allergies, Arthritis, Backaches, Chronic Fatigue, Cramps, Eyestrain, Headaches, Knee Pain, Memory, Sinus Pain, Stomachaches, and twenty-eight other conditions. Each chapter has many illustrations and photos of pressure points that show you where each pressure point is located, and their benefits. The author Michael Reed Gach, founded the Acupressure Institute of America.

BEST book ever... I keep IT and the BIBLE as my two main books
Seriously-- I do acupunture, and pain control because I have been in martial arts for 45 of my 70 years and constantly needed it for the injuires, strains, soreness etc. Now that I'm older, I need it even more I got mashed between 2 trucks in 99 and even now 26 years later it still causes me pain 24/7 so I need help- and I HATE taking meds that will eventually ruin my stomach and liver etc. THESE points WORK-- and it tells you how to find them, work them- and if you do even the basics-- it WORKS..

Great information and presentation.
If you're into Qigong-type health and fitness techniques, you'll love this book; that's exactly the area I wanted to do a deep dive into. It's a complete course, but not so thick that it's unwieldy as a regular reference, and it's a "real book"; by that I mean traditionally mass produced, not publish-on-demand, which oftentimes leaves a lot to be desired: poor layout, artsy-craftsy (illegible) typefaces, etc. I'm a retired printer with poor vision and high expectations in research materials. This book gets an A+.

Helpful, Not Quite as Effective As Accupuncture For Me
This is a book I have been using for 3 years now, and it's something I can honestly say there was a time in my life I would have never, and I mean never seen myself purchasing or using. I worked in a very traditional western medicine setting for a number of years before I began my current life as a fabulous stay at home mom. And I really thought anything related to acupressure or acupuncture was a load of manure. Not too long before I purchased this book, I became familiar with some of the US Military's use for acupuncture in the treatment of pain as a means to reduce opioid addiction in wounded soldiers, and there was enough credibility behind the information that was coming out that I thought...well, ok, maybe I can be open minded about this. And then I was put on a medication that damaged my liver, and when that happens, one of the first thing that happens is you get pulled off of any and every medication possible, especially ones that metabolize through the liver.I have seasonal allergies that can best be described by the words of an allergist I saw many years ago when he walked into his office to give me test results: "Do you want some coffee? It's pretty much the only thing you're not allergic to around here." My allergies kind of have a life of their own. So being pulled off of my allergy medications was tough. So I started acupuncture because I was totally desperate and figured I had absolutely nothing to loose by trying it, and we bought this also for home use, because they are related concepts. I find that the book is well laid out, easy to understand, the points are clearly marked and demonstrated, and the kindle version is well-linked.I have used this for headaches, stress, anxiety, congestion, and allergies on myself, my husband, and my daughter. My husband pretty much says the only ones that he finds helpful are the anxiety pressure point, and sometimes the congestion ones. The dietary changes I had to make as part of the healing process for my liver alone made huge improvements on my allergies, but I still have some problems. Up until this spring, I was able to do acupuncture. Now I don't have any babysitting coverage for our son, so I've been using straight acupressure, and I can tell you it helps some, but isn't anywhere near as effective as the acupuncture was for me on the allergies. For me, it works best on congestion, especially in my ears, the anxiety points, headaches, and some of the points for coughing surprisingly enough have been helpful. My daughter pretty much says it helps a little, but not as much as allergy meds for her. Since it's not universally effective in our house, and it doesn't work for me as well as acupuncture, it's a four star product. But I have found it helpful at times and I do think it's a well done book, and it's something that may benefit you also.
