Review: A 5 star WIN - such a soft, so fluffy, perfect cloud duvet comforter that feels expensive but isn't. Like sleeping in a cloud. - My fiance' and I both had king size duvets - mine from Ikea, down alternative, a few years old, and I'm not sure where his was from, but his was true goose down/feathers. After going away for the weekend to stay at a lovely vacation home, we got a bit spoiled with the comfortable bed and great linens there, so when we came home we decided it was time for a bed makeover. Since I love to research, I spent hours scouring desertcart for something that looked like it was actually a great comforter at a great price. This duvet is everything we wanted and more. Oh my GOSH...it is SO fluffy. SO soft. It's my marshmallow cloud comforter. The inside fill has a silky soft feeling to it when you press on it - it sort of slides in your hands when you touch it, like the fill has a light, silky feel to it Even when I sit on the end of the bed to do something, I can feel how comfortable it is to just even sit on. It makes our old duvets seem pathetic, like something you'd go camp with. This duvet is as nice as the bedding we had where we stayed in our vacation home. It feels like it has medium weight, but it's warm - quite warm for the weight. We keep it cool in our home at night so for us it's perfect. The material is so soft. We covered it immediately with a beautiful cover because we want to keep it in perfect condition. I also notice that even though both of our old duvets were king size, this one (also a king) just seems bigger. Our bed is a queen and the king size fits perfectly over it, it drapes over the sides just far enough. Also, my fiance' likes to roll up in his covers when he sleeps. He has plenty of room to do that without taking any of the duvet from my side. :) Verdict - it's amazing, I feel like a princess sleeping under this duvet. It's amazing for this price, amazing. All 3 of us give it 5 stars - me, fiance' and our cat who now won't get off of our bed. Someone mentioned that it doesn't have loops on the corners. That's true, it doesn't, but you can always sew those on if you want to. I found a kit for that on desertcart too. But trust me, this comforter is worth sewing loops if you really want them. However, like others, we haven't found that the comforter moves or shifts in the duvet cover at all. It stays very well, better than any of my old comforters did, and I've had a few. Perhaps it's the loft that keeps it in place so well. I'll check back in after some time to let you know if if stays nice.

This comforter is a light weight style that holds its own on laundry day, and isn't too heavy in our warm climate. It is great for a multi species household. Team Double Trouble loves it on their raised dog bed (desertcart brand), Team Murder Mittens love it on their kitty city condos (available here on desertcart) to sunbathe or bird watch, and I like it too as a hot sleeper. It really is a perfect all purpose comforter. 10/10 would buy again.

**Q: Does it have corner straps to hold inside duvet in place?**
A: Please watch all the orders you get. It should have loops to hold it in place. If it does not, most likely you have been sent the wrong comforter due to the seller selling out of it.

**Q: Does it make you overly hot? Was wondering because of the polyester.**
A: I switched from a cotton comforter and yes it does make me overly hot in the summer. Also, it absorbs heat so well that I noticed the fan running full speed on my laptop when I left it sitting on the bed for a few minutes. Having said that, the feel and quality are incredible, especially for the price. If I lay down on top of it, my bed feels like a cloud. I'm just looking for a cooler version for the warmer months. Any suggestions would be welcomed!

**Q: Can the twin xl size fit in a standard washing machine?**
A: I don't have the XL, just the standard twin size, and it fits in our washing machine, which does not have an agitator.

My fiance' and I both had king size duvets - mine from Ikea, down alternative, a few years old, and I'm not sure where his was from, but his was true goose down/feathers. UPDATE: 9.16.23 Oh my goodness so I believe I said I would update in my vidya review & here I am!! Folks you truly never know what's effecting your sleep until well you find out right?!?! Well for me part of it is my blankets!!! Omgeez seriously ppl my blankets were so heavy and I have an injured shoulder so you combine that and welp...and so I slept w/the duvet last night, after I decided to keep it. I put it in the dryer w/3 tennis balls to fluff and then I put my duvet cover on it. AND OH MUH GOOD UH NESS!! I am not sure if I can truly convey just how wonderful of a night's sleep I got!! Keep in mind I live in SWFL & I'm right next to a beach & a swamp LITERALLY 1) I literally felt like I was sleeping in a soft fluffy cloud 2) It kept me surprisingly warm AND NOT HOT cept &this has nothin to do the duvet but my house gets humid and hot at around 6 am everyday &doesn't matter what I have on my bed I get hot! 3) It is virtually weightless!! Keeping in mind what I said in number 2, I was simply astonished at how lightweight this duvetvis EVEN WITH THE DUVET COVER ON!! And, with a severe shoulder injury I cannot even tell you how big of a deal this is! 4) DID I MENTION I FELT LIKE I WAS WRAPPED UP IN HEAVENLY PILLOWY YUMMY GOODNESS!: That's as best as I can describe! I came out and told my hubby v that I felt like, you never know what kind of weird prison you're in until you get out of it!
