Box Be Bumping!
Product: Q Power Dual 12 Bass Unboxing: Pre-fabricated gray carpeted dual subwoofer enclosure. The listing says the enclosure is made from ยพโ MDF with external dimensions of 36โ x 16 ยผโ x 13 ยผโ, and that each chamber is 1.6 cubic feet, for a total internal volume of 3.2 cubic feet. The listing states the unloaded enclosure is tuned to 40 hertz. Installation: The actual external dimensions are 35 ยฝ wide, 15 โ deep, 13 โ tall, and made from โ โ thick MDF. The port is 3โ x 12โ x 12โ, for a total 36 square inches. Based on these measurements, the total unloaded internal volume is 3.1 cubic feet and the port is tuned to 40 hertz. The terminal cups are fitted, and can be removed with a little effort. The terminals are plug-in style on the amplifier side, and spade connections on the subwoofer side. I used 16 gauge wire from the terminals to the subs. The opening for the subwoofers is the perfect size and the cuts to make the holes are very smooth. The cuts on the edges of the carpet are sharp and pretty clean. Dislikes: Some discrepancies in the materials and dimensions. Terminal cups are fitted. Likes: The enclosure is pre-built. The enclosure is carpeted. The enclosure has speaker terminals. The volume and tuning are perfect for this pair of 12โs. The build quality is much higher than expected. Improvements: Terminal cups glued in place. Push style terminals. Opinion: The enclosure showed up in great shape. All the corners are square and the cuts are clean. Although there are some discrepancies with the dimensions and the thickness of the wood, I was still very very happy with the purchase. The enclosure sounds very good with a pair of 12โs and some moderate power. I think that for money, the results are great, making it an amazing value and I would highly recommend it to anyone that doesnโt know how or feel like building one themselves.

A review from someone who knows a bit more about car audio...
As a professional installer, I hope some will read this review and get more a more accurate idea about this box. With all my experience, of course I know better than to even think about messing around getting a stupid prefab box. However, I am reccomending this thing, and here is why. You people first need to know that when you buy a prefab box like this one, there are no screws or anything holding the wood together except wood glue. OF COURSE your 2 12 inch subs will eventually rattle this thing apart. No duh. However, the reason why I bought this box was the price. I was fully aware that this box wouldnt last a week with the 12 inch subs installed hitting at max power and volume. With that said, for 52 bucks, you have a fully carpeted and assembled enclosure. Instead of going to home depot or somewhere to spend roughly the same amount of money on MDF wood, then spending time to measure out, cut, glue, and assemble a box of your own, all the work has been done for you....well...most of the work... The same day I ordered this box, I went to home deopt and picked up a couple tubes of liquid nails, some caulk, and some deck screws. For about 10 to 15 bucks extra, I was able to turn this box into exactly what I needed it to be for my system on a budget. I received the box and then began my extra prepping. I checked all of the walls and joints to see if any came entirely loose, and had to actually reglue a few things with the liquid nails. Then I went through and did a complete seal with the caulk, since the box didnt come with that much to begin with, and I wanted this thing to be rock solid. I pre drilled a bunch of holes for the deck screws, and then screwed all of the joints together. I used liquid nails and caulk for the terminal cups as well, since those were on the cheaper side, but now this box has been bumping solid for over a year with no issues at all. No rattles, no leaks, just clean and low bass. I have 2 12 polk audio db subs that are rated for about 300 watts rms a piece, wired to 1 omh being powered by a 600 watt rms amp. These things are seriously so insane for a budget system. Long story short, if you know what youre doing, then spend 15 bucks more and with a little work you will have a really nice and solid enclosure for a super cheap price. No it wont be exactly tuned specifically for frequency, displacement, or anything like that, and its a little thinner than 3/4 inch mdf wood, but for the price its perfect. Don't be silly and think that youre buying a cheap and solid box on amazon for 50 bucks and youre not going to have issues. Of course it will need work, and normally I would NEVER recommend a prefabricated box to anyone. But for the price and with some extra work, its a great starter box for someone with a budget wanting to get into car audio. If you dont have any clue on what youre doing then go have someone else build you a box. Hope this helps!

Good box but does not hold up when running quality equipment
I've had this box for 4 months with 2 Skar Audio SDR 12D4 12" dual voice coil subs installed. I'm pushing 400W to each 12. At first the sound of the box was amazing, but over time it seemed to deteriorate. In the past couple of weeks I began to think that I had blown a sub. After a little further examination, I have discovered that the box is coming apart at the seams, especially on the front where the subs are mounted. The face and the sides of the box have separated and the MDF is splitting apart. The amazon ad says 30 day return/replacement, so it looks like I may be at a loss with this one at 4 months.

Sounds Great but Cheaply Made
I bought this box to replace a Skar AR1X10V 10" vented subwoofer box running a Rockville W10K9D2 pushed by a JBL A1000 amp running at 2 Ohms and 1000 Watts RMS. I am now running two Skar IX-12 D2s in this box being pushed by a JBL A600 amp running both speakers in parallel at 2 Ohms and 300 Watts RMS to each speaker. OMG what a world of difference! Absolutely love it! The Skar subwoofers hit hard and overall the system is less "boomy" than the one 10" Rockville sub in the vented Skar box. Two 12" subs at 600 Watts RMS sounds a world apart from one 10" sub at 1000 Watts RMS! Better all around SPL (Sound Pressure Level) and SQL (Sound Quality Level). Now on to the not so good...the QPower box arrived in a thin cardboard box with no padding. The box had a couple tears in it. Upon opening, the sub box didn't have any damage to the carpeting or corners of the box. But...when the box was manufactured and they stapled the box together, one of the staples/nails had split the MDF apart at the top of the thin area of the speaker cut-out. It's too much trouble to return so I injected some Gorilla wood glue into the crack and clamped it. Wasn't happy about that. The cut-outs are a 1/8" too large all the way around for the Skar subs which use a cut-out of exactly 11.0 inches diameter. Once I got the speakers installed by centering the subs in the cut-outs and pre-drilling the screw holes very carefully, I put the box into my car. I had to remove some interior trim panels to get it to fit. At the time, I also notice when I pounded my fist on the top of the box, I got a rattle. Apparently, the left wall of the front port was loose...I knew it would vibrate when playing. So, I used some 1.25" coarse thread black drywall screws to secure the joints. Not happy about that either but they blend in well with the box. I had to pre-drill and shoot a total of 3 drywall screws through the top and one through the front of the box to secure the port wall. But...once I hooked up my amp and adjusted the gain using a 40 Hz test tone at -3 dB, this box THUMPED! Sounds so good. I've got the subs rear firing at my my hatch. The rear view mirror and side mirrors shake/vibrate more than they ever did with the 10" vented box and sub. You can really feel the bass in your chest. Overall, I would recommend this box if you are handy and are able to fix a few issues you might find once you have taken delivery of the box. I gave the box an overall rating of 4 stars because of the issues...I just couldn't give it a 5 star rating even though it sounds REALLY good.

Excellent dual 12" vented subwoofer box plus good price
This 12" vented dual subwoofer is great. With the cost of materials these days it was cheaper to buy then to make one

Cheep cheep cheep
Not as shown in pictures. Port is only open to the back it does not have the wings that go off to each side like in the picture. It's also only 5/8 MDF so it's very lightweight. Just a cheap overall feeling box.
