Leviton makes a quality product. I feel safe using their cord ends, safer than I would with any other plug!!! This particular cord end is nice because it can be rotated before it is installed. There is a screw on the back that locks it in place once you choose the orientation you want. NeatO!

I rec'd the two plugs, both sealed in plastic bags with instructions. When I opened the first plug I saw that the ground was at a 45 deg. angle; not at the top as shown in the item photo. I thought I received the wrong plugs. I removed the single screw that holds the plug section and removed it. I then rotated the plug section (ground and the two flat blades) to see if the ground could be at the top (as shown) which is what I wanted. Sure enough, it can pretty much be at any position you need or want. Looking at the item photo, let's call the ground at the "0 degree" position. You can remove the plug section and rotate the ground to the "45 degree" position, the "90 degree" position, the "135 degree" position, the "180 degree" position, and so forth. This gives you eight possible locations for the ground to be in reference to where the wiring enters the plug. This makes it perfect for both vertical and horizontal outlets, adapters, etc. as you can adjust it to make the wiring go pretty much any direction you need. Not really certain what it does to the internal line/neutral/ground wiring lengths inside the plug, but I'm guessing there's enough room for the extra wire. Or, you may have to cut unequal lengths as you prep the wire for the plug. Hopefully this plug will be as easy to wire as any other plug; but in any case, the design is still pretty cool.

This a good $ value, well designed, and excellent performing item. I bought this to build some heavy duty extension cords for my Construction project/Home Remodel. STD 50 ft "110-120 " vac cords from hardware stores do not carry the amperage for a table saw and even a good circular saw really. I already had some # 10 3 wire copper stranded cable and I just put a 2 port 20 Amp electrical box on one end of my cable and added this plug on the other to get a >15 amp 120 VAC cord to supply adequate amperage to the saws. The plug blades were the same gauge and size of the ones used on the 20 amp receptacles. I first attempted to use a straight male plug on the power end but the weight of the cord pulled down too hard on the plug causing it to fall out of the wall socket. Once I switched to this angle plug, my problems were solved. This Plug comes with very good hardware and a well-insulated /cover. The wire ends can be easily inserted into the terminal clamps and locked in tight. The body screws tighten up well but I am afraid the body of the plug itself will crack from the stress eventually. We will see…

Unit appears to be of high-quality plastic. It was fairly easy to wire up and the ability to pivot the three prog plugs to adapt to the outlet is a nice advantage. Not sure how waterproof this plug is; would not suggest using in an outdoor, exposed application.

Size is a bit large but the cord I was putting it on was large. Great connectivity. Good replacement all in all. Good solid material. A bit tough to get the wires trimmed down to fit but all in all good product.

I ran an extension cord through conduit so the sump pump in my crawl space had power. Unfortunately, I didn’t trim the hedges in front of the house and outlet last year. When I used the hedger on them this year, I quickly learned the hedge grew behind my extension cord and rerouted it toward the hedge. Like a novice, I simply cut the hedge back about a foot from the house. It didn’t take long to realize I severed the extension cord. Using this helped me avoid routing a new extension cord through the conduit and in the crawl space. It appears to be solidly constructed and the 90 degree angle helped ensure the cord stays closer to the house. I would like to think I will never need to buy another, but should the need occur, I will definitely get another one of these.

Rugged right angle plug that’s built for commercial duty. It’s easy to set the prongs to whatever angle you need, ground up down or sideways. Follow the instructions to trim and strip the conductors to length for a perfect fit.

Top quality right angle plug. Only four positions, not eight as I have seen on other manufacturers plugs. Assembly is as easy as it can be for this type of plug. Follow the strip guide carefully, and you’ll be OK! Works great for 12/3 sjo cable.

It is nice that the option to change location of angle of prongs is possible, good quality.
