Barron's AP Chemistry Flash Cards

The cards don't ask multiple choice questions, instead they give the student a problem to solve, a definition, or a concept to explain. The explanations in the back are thorough. It also gave my daughter a chance to figure out what she didn't understand and made it possible for me to be able to help her study.

We used these in my AP Chem class. The students liked them and would sit and go through them voluntarily on their own. They are durable and had a lot of information. Good general knowledge but no complex math etc.

These flash cards are designed to improve your speed, which is super important for the test. Each section of the AP test is a 90 minute sprint through chemistry, not a marathon, and you want to be able to answer the easier questions fast and understand the vocab right away. The cards are organized well by College Board's 6 big ideas, new for the 2014 test. I noticed some cards on material that has been theoretically eliminated from the exam, but it is hard to be certain until we see an actual test. Keep in mind that these are not designed to teach you the material, and they won't help very much with how to approach the free response questions. However, they are definitely worth the money and the time studying with them.

Am very happy with these so far. I'm using them to quiz my knowledge for the Praxis test (not an AP test), and they are helpful.

came with a lot more words than I was expecting. Covers every category. Helpful for students struggling with vocabulary.

They burn really well, but all very similarly. I was under the assumption we'd see some cool chemistry when these were burned.
