I went from 2GB to 4GB and it was like a new machine. For a cheap upgrade, with a positive impact on performance that doesn't feel cheap, make the upgrade. In fact, I'm a greedy bastard and so now I've ordered 2x4GB and I'm going to switch the 2x2GB into my wife's machine! And, as I said I'm a greedy bastard, so I also now have replaced my hard drive with a SSD. WOW! That made like 10x the difference of the RAM which I was already pleased as punch with! I went from 160GB HD to 126GB SDD, but I'm now using a wifi enabled external hard drive, so I have little need to load my SSD with more than 10-15GB. BUY RAM! As I've learned, more RAM is always good.
