It wasn't designed to be used in carpet cleaner so there is some special steps you need to take. A) You MUST allow MPP'd to sit and work for a few hour; DO NOT IMMEDIATELY SUCTION IT BACK UP. So if your carpet cleaner allows you to apply solution with the suction off, that is the way to do it; Suction off. If your cleaner sucks up immediately, MPP'd won't have time to work. B) if you do use MPP'd in a machine: DO NOT DILUTE. USE IT STRAIGHT. With that being said, most people use MPP'd to spot treat areas, then come with a carpet cleaner with a hot water rinse cycle 4-6 hours later if need be. LASTLY, after applying MPP'd with a machine, you really DO NOT need to even suction it up at all. MPP'd will break down into pure H2O and Oxygen withing a few hours and any bacteria is extracted and vaporized in the process.
