## Description

These kits are made from precision cut wool felt ready for you to just stitch them together. They also make wonderful birthday, anniversary, or Christmas gifts. Everything you need to start is right in the package including all cut wool felt, stuffing for those items which are stuffed, floss, a needle and instructions. This Penny Garland is done in the tradition of the penny rug. The penny rug was made from your wool felt scraps by tracing coins of the day, typically a penny, and making stacks of different color and size pennies and attaching these to a rectangle of felt. In the 1700s and 1800s a penny rug was not used on the floor but was used on your table to protect the hot wax from a candle from damaging the shellac finish on the table.

    Very easy and versatile!

Kit is very easy to make.  Plenty of circles in small, medium, and large.  Be creative - I made enough to create a triangle-shaped tree, sewed tiny Tibetan bells to the centers, and glued the whole shape to a piece of clearance-table upholstery fabric (dark brown/gray).  Kept it very organic and rustic!  I plan to frame it (16 x 20) and display during December and January.  I surprised myself!  I have plenty of circles left over to make something else.
