Heck of budget kit! it can do good job! I got this HPUSN Softbox Lighting Kit couple of weeks now and used for some restaurant manual job two times. See some of the photo attached. It was adequate for those small jobs and in studio shoot. I was asked to give my friend's new restaurant shoot new manual photos, and had some friend with me to try out there food. but don't want to carrier my big and expensive studio lighting cross town (LA is too big to call it town. It took me two hour to cross it without traffic), I come cross this kit. It was very easy to set up. so small to leave in the car. Matter fact, I left it in there for next use. It provide good soft light were perfect for those type work. And the cost... my car cost more money to get to that restaurant! What the con is you can not change the light output and color temp, also need AC power outlet, but I am not asking this cheap kits to do so. If all you needed is reliable lighting and soft lighting. It sure do the job. Highly recommend!

When opening the package, the size of it surprised me! It is much bigger than what I envisioned it to be. So far after using this a few times I am loving my new HPUSN Professional Studio Photography Lighting Kit! This kit comes with two stands, two soft boxes, two 85W CFL light bulbs, two light diffusing shades, two cases to hold the shades and soft boxes, and a large carrying case to hold it all. It was super easy to set up. It took me about 10 minutes or so to figure it out since there were no instruction sheet. But like doing a puzzle, it becomes easy to put together after you figure it out once. The stands are adjustable up to 6’~ish which is terrific for adjusting lighting however you see fit. They also tend to be a little top heavy, so adding some counter weight at the bottom of the stand will make sure that if you accidentally bump into one that it won’t come crashing down. I found out when I was testing the lighting that the light bulbs got hot after about 20 minutes of use. So be wary and not leave them on for too long without supervision. After using it a few times the lighting from both soft boxes turned out incredible overall, even in the darkest room. If you’re on a budget looking for a solid lighting kit, whether its for photography or videography, I definitely recommend this product.

These lights have been a lifesaver for the weekly IG Live videos I do. On average, they take about 10-15 minutes to assemble. I've gotten faster the more I use them. One note of caution- they produce a strong light- so you will get a little warm after a while. As an eyeglasses wearer I appreciate the cover over the lights that eliminates the ring light glare on my glasses. Everything fits nicely in the carrying case that it comes with.

I'm super impressed with this light set up. Super fast to assemble. Plug in, Flip the switch, ready to go. I've included pics of my set up and resulting pictures. I bought this so I could use my iPhone to take product pics for my Etsy store. I didn't want to use my real light set up and SLR, too time consuming. Also great for taking pics of kid's art. The white balance is very natural- very little color shift when taking pics with the iPhone. I'm super duper impressed. Very bright. Now, I've only used it for ten minutes. I don't know how long the bulbs last, and the stands are cheap (what you pay for) but they will do the trick for just product photos. If you plan on using this for portrait photography (can be done) where you have to constantly adjust the height of the stand, I doubt the stand will last long. Something is going to give. But for the price, you would be getting an amazing deal. I'm more than 500% pleased with what I got for the money. P.S. I opened the box it arrived in with a box cutter and slit the bag the whole set up is contained in. Not great.

This is a great low cost light kit. Sometimes lighting can be REALLY expensive. Those kits have their reasons. Important note: These are NOT Arri or Kino Flows. That said, these lights also don't cost thousands or even hundreds of dollars. These were about 60 bucks. If you are an indie film maker, beginning videographer or photographer (or experienced but still wanting a good low cost kit) these lights will likely work for you. The old adage "you get what you pay for" works in a positive light here. These lights are definitely worth 60 bucks. Most creative video or photo projects will be expensive (even small levels) by the time we include our cameras, lenses, storage media, batteries, tripods, computers, editing software and so on. Saving money on any one of these items can make a big difference. I saw some similarly priced kits with reviews saying the bulbs came apart when unscrewed but these bulbs had no such issues. The stands are lightweight, not super heavy duty, but again, we are not talking HollyWood C-stands with sandbags. These stands are just fine if they are handled responsibly. It would not be a good idea to crank the sh*t out of them but again, like I said if they are handled carefully and tightened just enough to be snug they work great. The softboxes seem durable so far and came with protective bags which some of the other kits did not have. I haven't measured the cords, they seem adequate for most situations. I would recommend getting a power strip and extension cord which most indie film makers, videographers and photographers should have anyway. Overall I am happy with my purchase.

Needed light boxes for a photo session at my house and these were the only ones that shipped next day via Prime. Arrived in its packaged/stored form in the carry case and was very easy to setup. The carry case isn't anything to write home about, but it works for limited use. The tripod works pretty well, telscoping easily, and the twist friction knobs hold up the diffuser/bulb assembly without tipping. It is better to have the assembly aligned with one of the tripod legs to improve stability if you're having wobbly issues. The bulb is plenty bright and works great for what it is, although I wish it came with a dimmer switch, but that's an easy addition. Very satisfied with this product. It's no pro-level gear, but it's under $100 and works for me.

The softboxes work as softboxes,meaning the reflector is decent quality and the diffuser means I can get some high power photography LEDs and keep it going for hours. My only complaint is the included tripods are *trash*. One of my softboxes sheared off the threads of one of the tripods right away, and the threading on the other tripod didn't last more than a week of moving around and experimentation. Fortunately, everything uses the same threading, so I took the top adjustment knob off and used the bracket from that to screw in the softbox at a lower point and it's much more solid now. The other one is in a spot where it barely moves which is convenient because otherwise I would have had to do the same and not have a key light pointed at my hair
