In addition, it explains what children will be learning in each story. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review *by B***K on 1 July 2025* I bought both the Grade 1 and Grade 2 Daily Reading Comprehension Evan Moor books for my daughter's reading comprehension. We started when she was seven and finished when she was eight. She had completed the All About Reading program a few years before and she seemed to read well, but for some reason she didn't seem to retain the information or understand it. Also she would not read to herself at all. I gained the impression that she didn't think she was good at it. These books really helped my daughter to gain some confidence in her reading abilities and to understand what to pay attention to while reading. I think the first book worked better for her because the illustration with each passage engaged her. But I also think that the second book without the illustration helped her gain more confidence in her reading skills because there was no picture to clue her in. The Skill practice went well but the Strategy Practice section was too open ended and she wouldn't do it at all.
