Best socks ever and a great bargain to boot - plenty of toe room and stay up nicely
I have tried dozens of brands of wool socks. These are by far the best. I like wool socks for all weather. They keep your feet dry and cool in the heat of the summer and warm in the winter. But, finding really good wool socks for work and hiking is a challenge. You have to consider fit, the ability to keep their shape, thickness in the right places. And then, of course they should not totally break the bank. That said, I have paid up to forty bucks a pair for wool hiking / work socks and these are by far better than any of them. The toes have ample room so you can wiggle your toes, no crowding. The soles have ample padding to help cushion your foot. And the tops are a good length and shaped right to help them stay up easily all day long. The tops come all the way to just below your knee. There is an elastic band around the instep that keeps them snug while allowing the toe to be spacious. I use these riding my mountain bike every day. I wear my knee pads over them and they prevent chafing. They go along with my shorts to give a bit of protection to my legs without getting into the chain. All in all, these are just great socks. I paid less than $14 for each pair and have just purchased three more. Get them while they last. Update: After four months wearing these every day, I still love them. Update again: After 12 months these socks are still performing perfectly. They fit great, wear great, and I am still wearing them every day. Best socks I ever had.

These socks don’t play
These socks don’t just keep your feet warm — they lock in comfort like a vault. Tall enough to anchor your boots, thick enough to laugh at Midwest cold, and soft enough to feel like a win every time you gear up. No itch, no sag, no regrets. Just solid, reliable warmth that feels earned.

Durable and high quality
I got these for my husband and he loved them so much that he bought 5 more pairs. They are high quality and warm without being hot. Thy stay up without cutting of circulation. And they are durable!

Good work socks
I work outside, I drive trucks for my city's emergency services in the northeast. Winters can be rough. I used to get pretty good wool socks at BJ's but they stopped carrying them. MY current ones are wearing out and in need of replacement. I bought some so called wool socks last winter, they sucked and didn't keep my feet warm at all. This year I've been reading reviews and doing research to find something decent with out breaking my bank. RealTree kept coming up so I got a pair to test out. I got one pair as a test and liked them so got four more to cover a week of work. They are very comfortable and nice warm down to the mid to low 30's. These don't seem to help much once the temps hit the 20s. Especially if you a working in snow. If your outside time is going to and from the car then these are more then enough these will be good down the teens, if you work outside like the guy holding the sign for road crews or such then these are good to the 30s. All in all I am happy with them and will look for something warmer.

Good quality sock - stays up and is comfortable
Good fit - if a bit tight in the calf - very comfortable for all day wear on long hikes. Well padded in the forefoot and heel. Got them in the winter but will wear then year round. I'll buy them again to replace another brand as that brand wears out.

Worth buying for sure
Love these thermal socks. Tight around the feet and legs. Come all the way up to the knees and stay there all day. Even after 3 washes they are still tight and dont fall inside of boots.

Like the long Fit over the Calf
Very comfortable and warm. Seems to do decent job at moisture wicking and like the long over the calf fit for super cold days. Work well with insulated pants. Material is good quality.

Size is all messed up.
The socks are good quality..but...I wear a size 8 in women's size...thought if I ordered extra large the socks would surly fit...WAY TOO TIGHT..struggled to get them on and then off...this has happened before when I bought large size. These socks are NOT EXTRA LARGE ! DISAPPOINTED AGAIN.

I've got some other heavyweight wool socks and this particular sock would fall more into the midweight category in my opinion. They're warm and well made, but don't expect a really thick heavyweight sock. e.g. I've got a couple of pair of Ducks Unlimited heavyweight wader socks and they're significantly thicker.

Bought 4 pairs of these socks 4 years ago , wear them pretty much every day in the colder months (live in Alberta cold for 6 months) they have the full 4 years , they don’t have any holes in them whatsoever, but after 4 years they are getting a little thinner, I only realized this when my new ones came , but I never noticed my feet getting cold because of it. The only reason I bought more was because we got a new pup and he has acquired a fetish for my socks , so I was down to 2 pairs ….. but these socks you won’t be disappointed PS: I only bought two pairs recently because I was not sure if they are the same socks because it’s been four years….. just recieved them and they are the same socks ….. ordering two more pairs as we speak

I’ve been wearing these socks for a couple years now, quality is great and have had no issues. These are long socks that will cover your calf and go right to below the knee. Depending on your leg length I guess. For me this is great for winter. They help keep my legs and feet warm and yes they are warm but not so much that you sweat. Plus they are wool so your feet don’t get humid and stinky, which is a big plus. I have a spine problem and my feet are almost always cold and these socks help a lot. They are not tight around the cuff so they don’t leave marks on your legs and at the same time they are tight enough that they will not fall down, I’ve never had them slide down at all in the years I’ve been using these. For washing I hang to dry after, never had them shrink. Plus they do have a bit of stretch to them. These are comparable to the duck unlimited socks. I also got those from the store here in town and I’d say they are more or less the same warmth and quality and fit. I can’t tell the difference and I’d buy ether one in the future, which ever one is on sale :-)
