I have 35 inch opening, can I trim half inch off width of each to make it fit?

Yes you can , but you should probably do it from the center fold and re-attach the hinges. I love these doors. They have worked great for us. The edges are about 3/4 inches wide.

Will I be able to cut 1" off the bottom so the door is only 79" tall?

I need to cut the doors to 44 length. Can you tell me: How far is it from door top to bottom of 3rd cross piece?

My opening is 58" ,can I trim 1/2 " off each panel (4) ?

Yes. We actually had to do this with our doors. We had to take the hinges off and using a table saw, trimmed 1/4" off of each side to keep everything symmetrical. You cannot tell on the finished product. Hope this helps!
