What I would like to know from someone who has used it over a good period of time is, does it make your facial hair more coarse feeling?

Absolutely not. Hair comes in same color/texture as before. Also, I can go about two weeks between touch-ups if that helps. I was using a chemical remover (that has since been discontinued) and I have to say that this is much easier to use, my face doesn't get red like it did with the chemical and also you can wash/apply makeup right after using this dermaplaning tool (while with the chemical remover the instructions suggested waiting 24 hours before using anything on your face that might have perfumes in it). I really like this product (as you can probably tell)!!

Is it better to use it while skin is dry or wet along with a shave gel/cream?

Definitely better on dry skin. If you went to an esthetician, they'd do it on dry skin. I clean with toner beforehand, and not only does it take hair off but dead skin comes off as well.

will it work on above the lip?

Worked well on mine and I have dark lip hair.

how long do they last?

Depends on how thick the hair is and how much you use it but I would say anywhere from 2-6 weeks if you rinse them and dry them off after each use they will last a lot longer

Poor quality blades

Blades quality is not so good, my skin feel so raw after dermaplaning . I am esthetician and i know how to do dermaplaning professionally. I am so disappointed with these blades . My skin is burning after using it
